The dryer did a good enough job initially, but after a few weeks we started to need to dry things twice. The ThinQ app requires absurd permissions (precice location), and makes it hard to find or add devices that communicate via audible beeps. That's right, this dryer links to the app by holding your phone mic close so it can listen to the beeps - no Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. They still need your address and phone number, though. The heating element failed today, after about 4 months of responsible ownership. The diagnostic beeps told the app that everything is fine though, so now we'll see how LG's warranty process goes.
