    I bought this TV thinking it was a good deal for how large it is, but you definitely get what you pay for. I was not impressed with the picture quality or amount of lag I experienced when gaming.

    Hoping for the best...round 2.

    Vertical shadows across the screen. Doing a return/exchange and hoping its not the norm...or will be returning again for something else. You will need a receiver with Arc to have sound out your home theatre speakers. An XBox1 does the trick.

    Just bought the TV 2 days ago. I love the size and everything but it showing vertical shadows on fast moving objects and its noticeable. I updated the software and it still shows vertical shadows. Its a great tv if there is now shadow problem. My unit could be defected also

    Either the tv was dropped or a manufactured defect. There was white light shooting from the bottom left corner. The installer said that Lgs are like that. But I disagree, I own two more upstairs.

    LG is a JOKE! Software update messed up my TV!

    I will NEVER buy another LG product EVER AGAIN! I bought this TV a few months ago and hooked up a Denon receiver so that I could get some nice theater sound out of my Polk tower speakers and subwoofer. I used the HDMI eARC connection on both the TV and the receiver and set up the TV to pass the sound through the Denon receiver automatically whenever the TV is turned on. Everything worked great until the moronic company LG sent a software update to my TV and my TV did the software update and now the TV ALWAYS reverts back to the internal speakers setting whenever I turn it on and I have to go in and change the sound setting to HDMI ARC EVERY TIME I turn the TV on and even THEN sometimes I STILL don't get sound and I have to turn the TV off and back on again and change the sound from internal speakers to HDMI ARC AGAIN! What a piece of crap! I hate LG. I was on the phone with their tech support 3 separate times and the third time the tech support person even took over control of my TV remotely to see if he could fix the problem and he couldn't fix the problem. THEN, he tells me it's probably a problem with my Denon receiver. REALLY?! So, the problem happens RIGHT AFTER a software update for my TV, but somehow it's a problem with the $700 Denon receiver? Give me a break! This company is a joke! Who puts out a software update without first doing an extensive test for any bugs? LG. That's who. Buy this TV at your own risk. $1800 TV and it doesn't even work like it's supposed to!

    If You Care About Apps Buy Something Else

    I bought this TV because my wife and I wanted an 85 inch smart TV for our den. We no longer use cable or satellite, we only use streaming services. LG doesn't have a lot of apps. The one's they didn't have that bugged me the most was No HBO Max app and No NFL Sunday Ticket app. I didn't know that before you buy a smart TV you need to check out the TV manufacture to see what apps they have access to. This is ridiculous, we returned this LG and bought a Sony!!

    TV only worked for one week

    I purchased the TV in July and finally opened and installed it in September. It worked well for a few days. Yesterday (Sept. 10th), the TV shut off and has been unresponsive since then. I have followed all troubleshooting and it is just unresponsive to any input including the power button on the unit. I have had it less than 60 days and operational for one week and Best Buy says there is nothing they can do about it. They referred me to the manufacturer and I am still trying to get an appointment. This was a very expensive TV and I expected it to last more than a week. Unfortunately, BestBuy doesn't see it that way

    Had my TV delivered yesterday by a third party delivery company which we pacifically asked for geek squad to come out as they installed our other two TVs and did a great job this third company came yesterday they were 20 to 25 minutes late the TV never got put up on the wall the guy was super rude and we chose to not have him complete our job knowing that we were supposed to have geek squad come out I called them and they said I have to wait another two weeks for geek squad to come out to put our TV up when the order was wrote up and we had geek squad on there to come out to put our TV up so now we have to wait two weeks until we are able to get our television put up that we purchased from Best buy and this is actually our third installation on a very expensive TV which the other two was expensive as well so after they come out to put it up in two weeks this will be our last time purchasing with Best buy very disappointed I have to give no stars but the system is making us give a rating so I guess I have to go with a half a star which you can't do that so one star

    HDMI ARC FLAWED!!!!

    This is a great TV with one major exception which is a game killer. The HDMI ARC channel does not send sound from the TV back to my Pioneer AVR. I've contacted numerous forums and LG themselves and no one has a fix. I could obviously use an optical cable but that would limit my Dolby options and I have a Pioneer Elite 9.2 channel receiver and 9 Klipsch speakers and a 600 watt Sub. So I really don't want to do that. I will happily change this to a 5 if LG or someone can give me a legitimate fix. I know what I'm doing and I'm convinced it's a very common defect with LG's since they changed the ARC input from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2. PLEASE HELP!

    When the TV is connected to the SN9YG Sound Bar, the Sound Bar does not show the ACR connection. I raised this issue, but no one helped to solve it. I just said that I can return the product. After I returned the product, I bought a new TV, but the problem still persists and the after-sales service is poor.

    This is the worst purchase I’ve ever made. I have used it for a total of 49 hours and now it won’t download LG Content which is required to download apps and watch movies or play games etc.. I spent a lot of money on this LG 86” tv and it doesn’t work with the internet even though all my other TVs, iPads, and phones in the house are working perfectly, Buyer beware

    Boy. was this a mistake. I didn't like the user interface and the magic wand remote from the beginning. Just too clunky but it really became a problem when I went to stream HBO Max. No compatible app. The only practical workaround was to use a Fire Stick but this stupid TV only has 2 HDMI inputs and they were both being used.

    Cluster of dead pixels less than 6 months after purchase. Would not recommend a “budget” big screen tv. You’ll also have better luck getting item replaced if purchased from “a”. Unless you spend $200 more dollars at BestBuy, they only warranty the tv for a month.

    TV does not work well when turned on picture takes up to 15-20 minutes to brighten enough to see! I have been on the phone to Best Buy and LG 4 times so far trying tech support and now still trying to get service! Worst TV I've ever bought so far! I am 57 and have bought a few
