The software that comes with it does not seem to want to play DVDs for me, so I've had to download other software in order to play them...otherwise - it works great! Slim, extremely lightweight, and small - makes it easy to transport and doesn't take up much space on my desk.

Works just like it should, no problems. A little pricey!

I use this with my Microsoft Surface tablet because it only requires one USB plug to operate which is a huge plus seeing how it only has one! So far with the limited use I've put it through it has performed very well with no issues

This is a great external DVD/CD drive. Easy to set up and connect to iMac and MacBook Pro. Even came with USB cord. Matches other Apple products is finish color.

I love the look, thinness and most of all the price. It was even $10 to $20 cheaper because it was on sale. This works better than my my slim type external player made by Samsung that does't read all CDs and DVDs anymore. QUALITY MADE THAT HAS VERY GOOD AESTHETIC LOOKS AND VERY, VERY SLIM. SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET ;-D

I just purchase a new HP Envy laptop. It does not come with an internal drive and that is why I purchased this LG. It works wonderfully. It makes almost cero noise, it is real slim, nice feel to the touch, and also it does not make noise when you insert the cd or when it comes out.

Nice addition to a current Mac Mini! if you still have CD’s and DVD’s also great for preserving data and other keepsake media! Much cheaper then the Apple Super Drive! Very sleek and silver color is a plus!!

I purchased a new laptop for Christmas without a DVD drive. I had a great deal of software to load & needed something relatively cheap but reliable. This External drive did the trick. It loads fast & I haven't been disappointed. I knew I wouldn't need this often, but when I do, it does the trick.

Great piece of equipment. Compact size, sleek, and does the job! I bought it to burn music CD's and burn photos onto discs because my new computer (MacBook) doesn't have a CD drive anymore. Easy to set up and easy to use! Liked that the price was cheaper than the Apple product as well.

This DVD player / recorder required no special installation.... it worked right out of the box... I was playing DVD's within minutes using my Windows 10 platform on a Lenovo laptop. It was painless.

Finally i am able to bring my old cd’s and dvd’s into life back again I used this in 12 of them so far a couple were from asia encoding and it worked like a charm please note u can only change region encoding 5 times I am ready to port my 90’s and 2k’s memories to my ownnprivate cloud account

I really like this. It's sleek, and it works well. I use it with the Dock of my Surface Pro 4 to give the machine an optical drive, but I can take with me on the go if I need to. The only thing that's a little weird at first is that you have to push the disc in quite far before it gets "sucked" in.

I find this product easy to use. I have listened to many a CD and DVD on this product and I find it to be of great value. I also loved the sound in which I have the beatsaudio connected to it. If your looking for something to and to your laptop than this is it.

Great alternative to Apple CD drive, at a way better price. Does everything is says without any issues.

Unfortunately, most gaming computer computers are not equipped with CD drive or DVD/DVD-RW. This unit is perfect in size and cost, I would strongly recommend this to a friend.

Laptop is just the right size and easy to set up and use. I do have to charge it frequently since I use it a lot. The cord attachment gets hot and that bothers me. but I am being careful when using it. Right now the screen is blinking off and on and I have no idea why. Other than that, it has been very useful.

This is a great, light weight drive. Perfect for traveling. I use this primarily for uploading music to my laptop and burning. Used once to play an older dvd and works fine! Would recommend this if all your needs are for simple use.

Recently purchased to compliment my laptop, as I prefer to have an external CD. This product was a snap to get up an running and performs like a champ. Going to Grad School at Alabama so I needed something dependable. Score for me!
