I got it to look at ultrasound videos of my baby since none of the three computers in my house have disc drives! Works great, install was a breeze, and very sleek.

Bought this to work with a new laptop that didn't come with a CD drive. Sleek looking design. Nice to just insert the CD into drive without the drive having to open to accept it.

This drive was super easy to use and compatible with MacBook pro. Easily loaded CDs that were copied to my iTunes library. Had no problems at all loading and ejecting over 100 discs. Highly recommend.

Very good dvd drive player quiet and compact. Recommended for those who needs optical player.

I had purchased this for the sole use of reading an X-Ray disc of my fractured elbow. From my limited knowledge I went with LG, as they seem to produce quality goods. Years ago I had purchased an LG Electric Dryer that played a musical chime when the clothes were dry. Sadly this device does not play a musical chime. Its more of a whirring sound , like something is spinning. It works. The usb connection is 2.0 to mini B. The unit is compact.

Works as expected and is easy to use! I like that there is no door to open and close, it feeds into the slot easily so there are no moving parts to break!

This is great for transferring DVD material to the computer. The unit is small, which makes it easy to pack and carry in my brief case. It's easy to operate, which is another plus.

Plugged it in and fired right up, quickly uploads content from DVDs. Had to ask Best Buy rep to look up functions (Blu-ray compatible or not - it's not BTW), because NOTHING is listed on the carton package. If it continues to function properly (only a test of time), it's a fair alternative to the name brand external drive for a better price. Haven't had a chance to put it through the paces of everything I'll need to use it for - installing software, creating backups, burning DVD video projects for clients who are not yet cloud savvy/accessible. My household is still reliant on a DVD drive to play movies on the computer during travel until all of our library is converted to digital content.

This works just as well as Apple's SuperDrive. Is cheaper, and also slightly smaller. Great Buy.

Great little CD drive. I use this between a MAC and PC and was able to buy one and put it on the shelf for when it's needed. Reasonable price and performs as expected.

Perfect fo the Mac. Have old DVDs and now I can watch them w/o the need for a TV set-up. Very thin, light & portable.
