    After upgrading my MacBook to a slimmer style with no CD/DVD port, I needed an external drive for that occasional instance when I'll want to play a CD. I chose this drive over the Apple product because it also adapts to a PC. It was the perfect choice and now I can share CD/DVD content with friends on their tablets or MACs.

    I bought this because I retired my 7 year old Toshiba Satellite. My new laptop didn't have CD/DVD drive so salesman recommended this. Plugged in the usb wire, popped in CD and it worked fine. Tried a DVD and that worked fine, also.

    Good price ez to use. It's a shame that the laptop i bought last year did not come with a cd or dvd burner. HP is folling Apple with add ons and extra prices. Enough with the less for more...

    Needed this for a work project, none of the computers are work have physical drives anymore. This was inexpensive and has been working great for the past year. We toss it around between computers and it still works just fine. Nicely built, easy to move, inexpensive.
