Works exactly like I wanted it to. Plug and play. Thin and compact.

After researching many external optical drives for my mac I chose to go with the LG Super Multi-blade drive. This was cheaper than the options provided through Apple yet just as effective. I have been more than happy with my purchase and continue to recommend this option to friends and family

I had experienced some devices that were not true plug and play, and a requirement was that I could use it on both systems. This device came through and was truly plug & play, and is easy to carry in my computer bag with my laptop.

I love this writer/player. Use it on my laptop. This is actually my second one, as i gave my first one to my grandchild. Ordered another, that's how much i like it.

I love this. I hate the fact that they no longer install these in the Laptops. They really need to take a strep back and start installing these directly into the desktops and laptops. Now I don't have to worry about my movies and all of the information that I need to view on my CD's.

Good load do you want to load music to my computer also to download information that I need to have or to write some CDs that I need to have written so you’re taking writer worked real well for myself I’m sure others would like it too I hope this helps you help people to pick this item and this is my opinion of this product

We got this for Christmas along with our new laptop. I'd rather have an internal CDROM, but I understand why computer makers are moving away from that. We just used it for the first time last night so my son could play an old Star Wars computer game. Installation was easy.

I read quite a few reviews of writer/readers having trouble getting enough power from surface devices. I was a little worried when I purchased this but I need not have been. It works great from my surface book and surface dock. Reads and writes plenty fast. Also, it's cheap! Worth the 35 bucks when it allows me to use an optical-less device.

I purchased this product because the Mac does not have a dvd drive. I tried it out and it seems to work fine. I do not have a lot of dvds that I want to load onto the Mac but I needed something that would work when I did. So far I have not been disappointed. The jury is still out since it is new and I have only used it once or twice.

Sleek and compact, unfortunately it does not come with a USB C connector for newer laptops, so I am having to buy an adapter to be able to connect and use it. Otherwise, it's a great peripheral to back-up old CDs/DVDs to external hard drives.

My internal DVD drive died on my MacBook Pro. Rather than replace it, since all Macs come without an optical drive now, I thought a portable would be the best solution. I can attach it to all my Macs. This drive is light and plug-and-play via usb. Does exactly what it's supposed to.
