I read so many bad reviews of the Apple drive I tried this one after reading many good reviews for it. It's sleek and works flalessly. No issues after several uses. I use it for ripping in music CDs and for watching DVD video. I have not yet used it for burning. But, I have high expectations based on performance to-date.

Good for Mac. Easy to use. Very light and portable.

It works with windows 11. It sure would be nice if they built these things into the laptops where they should be. Anyway Its doing the job I want it to.

Easy to set up on My Mac. I purchased this since the new Mac has no optical drive and I have disc media to access. Good value and works as designed.

It works well with all SD movie discs and CD's. One day these companies will allow all these drives to play blu-ray DVD's, which we have the most of. Have not yet tested burning music, photos or videos to it yet, sorry! Love the slim size. This is replacing my Apple superdrive, which didn't last long at all.

I bought this external drive for my MacBookPro. I was hesitant to buy a brand other than Apple but for the price, I went for it! It has worked beautifully. I have been able to burn both CDs and DVDs easily. I would definitely recommend this product! Great value and quality for the price!

Purchased two of these. One for myself and one for husband. Ordered new computers that didn’t have a dvd/Cd drive installed. This works perfectly for the needs of needing to install software or even for playing a game that needs the disk

Excellent companion to my laptop. Works great, and easy to use.

Small and unobtrusive DVD drive for systems that don't come with one built in. Hook it up to a USB 2 or USB 3 port with the acceptablely long cord. Recognized by both my Win 10 laptop and my MacBook Pro.

New computers don't have DVD drives unless you spend thousands. Therefore, two of mine could use one of these. This is a nice one. I haven't had the time to use it very many times, but I have copied a few discs.

Purchased as optical drives on two laptops have died. Works as advertized on a 7 year old HP, but 10 year old Compaq can not even see the device, let alone run it. Really wanted to install Linux Ubuntu on the old XP machine and can't. Works great on the HP though. Included software is helpful.

I purchased a new iMac in Dec 2016. Of course MAC did away with the disc drive. I tried SAMSUNG and not so good. The LG DVD Writer that I purchased from Best Buy is the real thing. Quiet....responds well....and has certainly made it simple and easy to watch some of my old movies on my iMac.

The drive connects easily to computer via USB cable. The drive was recognized by Windows 10 without requiring manual driver installation.

It's so simple to use I bought another one to attach to each of my computers. I was afraid they may stop making these DVD drives. I have so much VHS home movies transferred to DVD and it would be a shame if couldn't play or edit them.

I love the LG DVD RW/CD portable player. I have a lot of pictures stored on CD's. Plus old video's of family get togethers. I've been able to use this on all of our laptops no matter what brand.
