Great CD player

But it works great and let's me play my video courses on the road. It was a lot cheaper than the Apple version, but works perfectly with my Mac laptop.

These days laptops are not coming with CD/DVD players/recorders so it being so slim in size saves room in my case. Being a portable we can also use it in 2 other laptops and a desktop we have in our household! Very good price as well.

It worked perfectly fine just after connecting it with an usb cable. I used it to install software and to record some files and it performed really smooth and fast for both input and output operations.

Did not realize how much we actually need it. The first one I bought for this laptop was big and bulky and had to be used at home. It was also very noisy. My daughter needed something smaller to take with her to the college campus. This has fit the bill.

I am not very techy and it came with a CD which I thought had to be used to install software, I was wrong. A call to the Geek Squad helped with that. So just plug it into the computer and into electricity and you are good to go.

Just one less thing to break as I see it. I burn about 20 CDs a week. Out of the box the drive works flawlessly. I won't know how durable it is until I've used it for a couple of years.
