Also the auto feed is a great function since I don't have to worry about breaking the drawer feed or have the drawer feed pop out and damaged when traveling.

It does save weight and cost but you wind up buying an ad-on like this anyway if you still have old media around. Love its size and good to have around when you need it.

This external drive fills that void. I have used it for loading new software on my laptop. It does everything that I need.

It does what it’s suppose to do, works flawlessly with the MacBook. Love that it doesn’t have a tray loader and only one usb plug.

I was able to use this drive to update the OSX from Leopard to Snow Leopard. Also, I was able to use this drive on a Windows desktop.

I'm a proponent of physical media and having the ability to rip my cd's to my own specifications is wonderful, because I hate digital downloads. The quality is just not there.
