I've had the same old router for years. I couldn't connect to wifi in my master bedroom or front porch. After installing this system I have full strength wifi in my Master and outside in my yard. Setup was a breeze. Nice step by step instructions on the app.

Linksys Router’s are great. Set up was easy and covers my whole house with WiFi. It is solid built and looks good too. Contacted tech support once, cause I am not great with computers and they impressed me as much as their product.

    Super System WiFi

My life before Linksys Velop: power outage meant I had to manually reset my modem, then manually reset my router then only to have to manually reset my WiFi extender. This is all fine and well, except it was very time consuming AND our WiFi didn't really extend in all areas of the house which meant that our TV would buffer quite frequently. This Linksys Velop system was so incredibly easy to install. Quite literally a piece of cake. The best part of this system is that it truly extends around all areas of our home WITHOUT having to have any sort of booster. And the bonus? I can now reset it with the app on my phone if needed. My computer is much faster and I've had no buffering with our smart television. Is it worth the price? For me, definitely YES. I feel like I've gone from dial-up to DSL with this WIFi system. It is THAT terrific and I highly recommend it for larger spaces.

    Great Device

This device is easy to set up and really fast connection. I upgraded from my netgear router and will not look back. I get my speed I pay for and haven't had any issues with lost connection or distance in my apartment. This is the future of wifi. Thanks Linksys

I love this system. I bought a pack of two, and I have full bars throughout my house, and get a signal outside my house as well. I appreciate ethernet backhaul. The only downside is that the Linksys app crashes occasionally.

    Amazing Product!

I do not usually leave reviews, but I had to with this product. It is amazing! I have comcast internet that is not that fast and with the router and modem they give you, it did not work great around my house. I was often not on wifi on my phone because the Comcast unit had terrible range. I even had to upgrade to the unlimited data package through verizon which was not awesome because it is very expensive. So I purchased the Linksys - Velop 2 pack and I am very happy. The setup was not as easy as I hoped but not because of Linksys it was a comcast issue. I put one node upstairs and one on the main floor of my house and my download speed is 240 and upload speed is about 12. This is more than triple what it was before and my wifi actually works in my whole house! I would highly recommend this product for wifi issues around a decent size house

    Fast but Coverage Issues

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I purchased this system after upgrading to gig speed internet and returning an Eero system because the Linksys was able to provide a faster WiFi speed. The first 2 nodes were easy to set up but the third was a pain. I had to get it really close to the others to connect. I have a two story 3000 square foot house which was no problem for the Eero system to cover and these are supposed to cover a much larger area. After manipulating the set up I finally could get them all to connect where I wanted them. So far so good and the speed provided on the 5ghz band is faster than the Eero but the 2.4ghz band is still just as slow around 40 to 70mb download. It should much higher than this. I will try some more tweaking to see if I can get that to change.

Im telling you that Ive had all the "good" routers including the Nighthawk r8000p. Doesn't compare to this system! I am so in love with this. I totally expected to be disappointed and return this the same day but NO WAY! Im getting over the promised speeds from my ISP ( 400dl/20ul ) over wifi! Im talking about every corner and outside on my property. I never got close with my Nighthawk! Now to be fair, my house is about 2800sqft and the 3 nodes are supposed to cover 6,000 sqft so maybe an overkill but I dont regret spending the $500. Not for one second. And I still have advanced features like dynamic DNS and port forwarding. I have 5 Apple TVs, 3 iPads, 4 iPhones, and 4 Homepods along with over 20 more devices for Home kit and they work perfectly no matter how many devices are on. Set up was super duper easy.

After many years of frustration using intermet extenders to allow a good internet signal throughout a large house, finally a good solution. Now able to stream video content throughout house with no buffering. Very easy to install using Linksys app.

    Excellent Sleek Product

Linksys may have taken their time getting their cloud system together, but it was worth the wait. Their "mesh" network as they call it is extremely easy to use, install and the app is great at monitoring devices. I haven't quite figured out of they have a setting to limit when devices can or can't access the network, but there are options to prioritize up to three devices to always have the fastest connectivity, while the remaining devices use what is left. There is also an option to set up a separate guest network that you can turn on and off through the app. I currently have 60 mbps, shared between myself and my neighbor, with an average of 5 to 9 devices connected at one time, including streaming devices and there have been no interruptions. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a top of the line product in the industry.

DO NOT BUY VELOP. Buy Eero instead.

Velop is CRAP. It constantly goes offline. I've spent HOURS -- both with support (3 hours this last Sunday alone!) and 10x that on my own trying to make it work. One support guy says to separate my three bands (i.e. name them differently) and assign specific channels to each. And that worked -- until a few days later when it didn't. The next guy tells me that the first guy shouldn't have told me that! So we reset everything with just one name and auto-select channels. Of course, that meant going around the house and resetting wi-fi names. Twice now. And their software is equally bad -- for example, it shows a node "online" when I'm holding it unplugged in my hand. I've REALLY TRIED to make it work, but it's time to move on. And, of course, now it's just out of warranty (3 years). I just bought the Eero Pro 6 -- WHAT A DIFFERENCE! NO downtime! Very easy set-up. Huge pick-up in reception and speeds. Now 3 Eeros do much more than my 5 Velops did for our 4000 sf home.

I purchased the Linksys Velop about a week ago and am very satisfied with it! I returned my Luma whole home wifi system due to slow speeds. This velop system gives me the speeds I pay for THROUGHOUT my whole home! Would give more stars if I could!!

The nodes didn’t connect well. My internet providers wireless router ended up being more reliable. I bought for larger than my house SF, but it wouldn’t reach. I will look at other brands in the future.

Very easy to setup and provides excellent whole house wifi signal and speed. Also very attractive and small. I have a 3 level home and get fast speeds no matter where we are even on the outside patio or deck. More than pleased with my purchase.

This mesh network system could not be any better. It replaced my Airport system because of its range other capabilities. It was very easy to setup through the app and allowed you to do complex things like setting priorities in a very easy way!

    For shoddy WiFi signal

I'm running a Arris Modem from Spectrum in Arcadia where Internet is pretty unreliable. I'm constantly changing out my router to over come signal interference and cut out as much that can go wrong as possible. The Velop system has negated the signal interference. However there is a problem overall withinksys problems. The constant reliability on using the online app service for its products instead of using local ip address to setup. In the case of Velop it is mandatory to use the phone app to get it going. In my case 2 of the 3 towers did not recognize my modem and couldn't get them going. Finally the third one finally recognized my modem and my Internet was up and running again. If Linksys would let go of the app I think Linksys products would become 5 star tiered

Very easy to install. We have a large house with interior block walls and we have no problem with service everywhere in our house. Because of the size of the house and the block walls, our previous router could not service the whole house.

Purchased and was up in running in about 10 minutes. Easiest set up I've ever had for a wifi system. I have 150up and 150 down though LAN and have the exact same over wifi with this system. I also have wifi 2 houses down. Great system.

So my current router is the AC5400 with an extender. I stream Roku throughout the house and have the occasional signal drop. I thought when these come in, I'd be able to set them up around the house and not have many issues. To my surprise, I can't even get them to install. I downloaded the app to my Google Pixel xl and I've tried this afternoon and tonight to get one of the cubes to install. Regardless of what I do, I get the spinning wheel of death on a screen. Which screen it decides to do it on varies, but I got as far and configuring the network and let the wheel spin for 30 minutes...nada. I tried going back so it could take another go at it. still nada. I came to Best Buy.com to read the reviews and I see some issues, but for the most part it looks as if others are able to get them to work. I saw a review where Linksys reps left a user hanging, so that was out of the question. I'm already fed up, I don't need reps leaving me on hold. Also every time I almost get this system to run and it fails, I have to reboot my modem and old router numerous times to get dns to work again. So for now, this goes back into the pretty box and placed on the shelf. I'm happy with the AC5400 and extender. If Linksys reads this and has any solutions for me, they are welcome to contact me. For now I'm done trying to get them to work. Pros: Pretty Nice box Well packaged Cons; Not user friendly Android app is flaky Headache inducing product. Not easy install as stated in the simple brochure.
