I much prefer using corded mice, so I never have to worry about replacing batteries, charging mice, or unreliable wireless signals. Best Buy, please do not stop carrying wired items!! This mouse has a great, comfortable feel to it, and the option to "free scroll" with the wheel (without hinderence) or to put resistance on the wheel so it "clicks" quietly. Nice long cord too! I've bought several just to have as backup in case I can't find these in the future, since everything seems to be going in the direction of wireless.

On July 29, my computer mouse ceased to move the cursor. I checked it on another computer, verifying that the trouble was, indeed, in the mouse. I completed my work with an old ball mouse, and, the next day, bought this mouse. It was the only corded mouse that Best Buy had, but it was a Logitech, a good brand, so I bought it. It works very well, and, as I have no use for the added three buttons, I'm glad that they don't get in the way. This optical mouse uses an infrared LED to illuminate the grid on which I use the mouse, instead of the red LED of the old one, so a person cannot see its light, but the light is still there, and all is well. The mouse fits the right hand very well and comfortably.

Super lil mouse For my PC basement applications. I Usually scroll across the screen to get to my Pandora, But it's super... didn't need anything as hot as an MX series, which I already have upstairs in my office, But this is a great little cord Type mouse... would buy 2 or 3 of them if I had needed them! I like the ergonomic design of this wire mouse, very quick and responsive and much more reliable than those wireless mice. Call me old fashioned, it's reliable and no batteries to replace and at a nice price.

Very happy with this Logitech mouse. Have enjoyed Logitech mice ever since their 1980s 3-button mouse. Needed a wired mouse because I'm sick of wastefully replacing the non-rechargeable batteries in wireless products. Needed a mouse with more than three buttons to make navigating web pages and code easier, but this mouse effectively has two more than that as part of the mouse wheel (tilt the wheel left or right for horizontal scrolling). Good: This mouse has the extra buttons I wanted. The extra buttons in the mouse wheel for horizontal scrolling are very useful, too. The hardware switch next to the wheel that allows the mouse wheel to spin freely is an unexpectedly pleasant feature for scrolling (vertically) quickly and/or for scrolling long documents. The grip is comfortable and allows my fingers to reach every button accurately without accidentally clicking the wrong one. The weight of the device is heavy enough to feel firm in my hand, but not so heavy that it causes fatigue. Unknown: I don't use a mouse for PC gaming, so I don't have any advice for gamers. Bad: Because this mouse is plug-and-play (it just works after you plug it in and Windows recognizes it), the optional software that Logitech provides for customizing the behavior of the mouse is unreasonably large (on disk and in memory it is larger than personal computer disks and memory were from the era of Logitech's beginning in the 1980s) and thankfully completely unnecessary for my needs (scrolling and navigating, but not gaming). To redefine what the mouse buttons do, AutoHotkey is a lighter-weight and more powerful tool, and works with any mouse on Windows.

Logitech-M500s Advanced Wired Laser Mouse has performed as advertised. Controls are well placed, scrolling is fast, ergonomics are comfortable and well designed. I have been using this Laser Mouse extensively over the past two months and have no regrets in purchasing the Logitech-M500s Advanced Wired Laser Mouse.

Fit my hand nicely. Quick, smooth, side to side scrolling wheel. two thumb buttons. A tad heavy.

I got tired of dealing with my cordless mice that often seemed to have issues or need to be plugged in to recharge. The Logitech M500s corded mouse was the perfect solution for me. It's comfortable and works great. No more having to recharge or deal with wireless issues.

We use these mice in a business setting CPA office). They are well built and have a sturdy feel. Also, they last a long time. Highly recommend this corded mouse. You can find cheaper ones but not the same quality.

I know wireless mice are the standard for work, but the last 4 that I’ve had all ended up with issues, but most frustratingly the double clicking even when I only clicked once, no matter how I adjusted the settings. This mouse works great and there is no lag. I may be imagining the slight lag with a Bluetooth mouse, but this eliminated that completely.

Replacement for an older model of the same mouse that eventually was wearing out. It smooth and accurate. Some of the online materials say it has adjustable DPI... I could not find a way in the software to do that, but the precision is excellent.

This Logitech M500s Advanced Wired Optical Mouse was a great purchase at a great price. It performs with much more precision than a wireless mouse, which is what I needed for the work that I do with it. Also, it is very comfortable for my hand.

A very good purchas for the money, this is an excellant product. Does excatly what I need for an older model HP LAPTOP. And the associate was so very very helpful, being a senior sometimes I don't understand everything that is explained about the computer world, but she checked out my computer and explained to me the problem, and what was needed.
