Solid performer, not ground-breaking
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After a long period of time, I would've expected Logitech's newest webcam to set some new standards in image quality. I was slightly disappointed, actually, when I got the new StreamCam Plus. Yes, it works nicely, even in vertical mode if you want, but the resolution and dynamic range aren't 'four-years-of-advanced-technology' better than the last one they released. Perhaps I'm spoiled by the quality of most any smart phone released during that time, but I did expect a noticeable improvement. I don't mind this camera, it works well via USB (you can use the old USB-A ports on your computer with an adapter - not included), and the microphones are decent. The cable should be replaceable or it should come with a USB-A adapter, just to make it easier for end-users. The mounts are nice and it includes a mini tripod even.

What is not good is the cord placement. I cord is at the back of the camera which makes the camera move when it is being plugged in. It also means that it can not be close to the wall. Also, the tripod is garbage. Changing the angle of the camera on the tripod is a nightmare.

It refocuses when needed and also provides great colors even in low light.
