A perfect fit to my setup. Worth it on sale when I got it

This is only worth for the touch ID. the ergonomics are awful.

Just fine for my mac mini. TouchID is so cool for quick access and app installations.

This a great keyboard with one big drawback, it is not backlighted. I don’t know why, because Apple’s other keyboards are, and I see no reason why this isn’t.

The keyboard works fine except for erratic finger print button. That feature doesn't work as it should.

This Apple Keyboard is expensive. I would recommend buying something else.

So far so good, the keyboard is working like it is supposed to but the best feature is the Touch ID especially with 12 digit passwords.

The keyboard functions fine. Had a problem getting the keyboard to connect initially. However it has worked flawlessly ever since (including touch id). The feel and quality is not up to par with apple standards in my opinion. I also prefer a keyboard with a bit more thickness or height.

After purchasing keyboard several weeks ago it started having issues with the Touch ID which is the main feature of buying this. The issue goes away if you connect the keyboard to your Mac with the usb cable. So... you can have a wireless bluetooth keyboard without Touch ID or a wired keyboard with Touch ID. Touch ID does not work with bluetooth.

This device was to replace my old magic keyboard for my old MacMini. I recently purchased a newer M1 mac mini and I thought it would be great to have a fingerprint reader like I use for my WindowsPC. To my chagrin, This device will NOT allow you to login to your MAC from a cold boot. It will NOT even allow you to log back in after logging out. Apple Help says this is not a design flaw but done on purpose "for security reasons". W H Y ? ? ? I am an IT Admin and IT security expert. Please educate me on these security reasons. Windows, Linux, Android do not seem to have this shortcoming. For the price of this keyboard it should also do device switching and make me a dang coffee!
