Rich, beautiful tones. The crossover is really amazing - I can't say I've analysed many others, but listening to 'You know what' (N.E.R.D) displayed how the voice came *only* out of the top driver, and the separation of responsibilities between the drivers was really impressive. I found string instruments like cellos were just incredible (Canon in D felt like they were sitting in the loungeroom with me). I think these would actually be fine without a subwoofer for most purposes (particularly for music only, if you aren't an electronic music enthusiast).

Well built, good tone, nice looking and the right size. A nice package without breaking the bank. I am using them wirelessly with a Yamaha receiver.

I had read great reviews about Martin-Logan. Right now, using these as Front L&R. Outstanding clarity that allows hearing each musical instrument in correct balance. When I complete my Surround system, these will become Rear L&R and I will absolutely purchase two larger Martin-Logans for the Front. High quality for reasonable price.

I was in the market for surround sound but wanted small profile speakers I listened to Bose, B&W, Definitative Tech and many more Manufactures with low profile surround setup when I came across these I was blown away, I am running 7.1 channel surround Martin Logan Motion 4's for the front and Motion 8 for center channel 4 motion 2's for surround and back channel. The sound and built quality of these speakers are amazing beats Bose or any other speakers in this size by a mile!!!

These small speakers look great, were easy to install, and sound great as part of whole room system.

Purchased these as part of a 5.1 system. Excellent clarity and sensitivity at this price point. Very happy with the sound. A capable subwoofer is highly recommended. An FYI, Magnolia Center sales associates at two different stores told be these do not come with wall mounts. THEY DO. Albeit cheap plastic ones. For the center channel it was perfect. For the rest of the speakers I purchased metal mounts that are adjustable.

I use these as the front L-R speakers in a 5.1 setup, they sound great for the size. Also, they give style to your Home Theater setup.

I've wanted these speakers for years! They were everything that I was hoping for! Great sound and they look great!

Have these mounted on the back wall as rear surround sound. These speakers DO THEIR JOB.

I bought these to replace my floor standing JBL speakers. Although the sound is not quite as good as the large speakers; they do produce a nice quality, full sound. Plus, they take up a fraction of the space in my room; which is what I was after.

I bought these speakers for the rear surround speakers. They are small and do not take up too much space. Keep in mind they are 4 ohm not 8 ohm like bestbuy website shows.

Over 60, recently bought my first Laptop, and therefore, didn't know what to expect. Unfortunately, had tremendous difficulty, frustration, hearing the integrated laptop speakers, even when they were cranked to maximum volume level. Plus, the sound left a lot to be desired. (What I could barely hear sounded terrible) Enter Martin Logan Motion 2 speakers. These are the smallest and least expensive Motion Series Speakers, designed mainly for rear channels on a 5.1 Home Theatre surround setup. However, after looking at and listening to "regular powered computer speakers", the Motion 2 speakers, when paired with a small Amp/DAC combination, are a sonic revelation in every way. There's positively no comparison to ANY ''rank and file" computer speakers at BestBuy store demo displays to them. Motion 2's connected with a small desktop sized amp (NAD D 3020).. resulted in sound that went from tiny and tinny--- to amazingly clear, full, louder, and more importantly: Exciting. Even streamed movies are noticeably more enjoyable and all the smallest details in dialogue, music and sound effects can be heard unhindered. Adding an external Blu-ray player for music CD's, and watching DVD/Blu-ray movies, makes the Retina Display laptop POP visually, and Motions 2's SING perfectly with all discs... or streaming music. Yes, it's a bigger investment buying these speakers and a small form Amp/DAC combo for this application, but now my frustration with marginally better "computer speakers and headphones" that depended on the cheap, dismal performance, of integrated laptop audio components and speakers; vanished. Although I found this upgrade to be a sound investment, make sure your desk has enough room. The Motion 2's outperform but they are also a bit on the big side for computer desks. Actually plan to purchase a pair of Martin Logan Motion 4's or 15's in the future to get more bass extension because I enjoy the Motion 2's so much. But for the price, and for right now, the Motion 2's are a bargain and a blessing to my ears. Hope you don't have to settle for mediocre "computer speakers". My desktop computer speakers are getting old and I plan to save the Motion 2's for that purpose one day. Or, make them rear surrounds. They are versatile, well constructed, and great sounding!

I have motion2 speakers as my rear surround sound for my home theater with motion4 in the front and Motion8 Center-Channel Speaker. With all the speakers have the folded tweeter. Makes you really feel like you're in the movie and not just watching one.

These speakers work great in a 5.1 system as rear speakers. They would not be appropriate as fronts or main speakers. The sound is crisp and clean in both mids and highs with obvious lack of any lows. I do not have a full Martin Logan system (klipsche for all other speakers) and these seem to blend well with their sound. These are very low profile which is what I needed and is in stark contrast to the klipsche rears. Overall great sounding low profile rear speakers.

I am rating these as I am using them, rear channel, wall mounted speakers in a 5.1 system. Although, in a small to medium sized room, they would do well as bookshelf units as long as you have a decent subwoofer to handle the lows. As surrounds, they are great, very crisp, detailed, and surprisingly loud.

I purchased these speakers to complete my 7.1 sound system. These speakers deliver great sound. They put you in the middle of the action. Watching John Wick 2 on DTS with these speakers was awesome.
