Great max payne story about redemption. There are some great story telling elements and I love the cut scenes. The difficulty of the game may turn some people away but if you keep at it, nothing ends up being more satisfying that taking out a room full of people while shot dodging john wu style over random obstacles. I didn't like the lens flare even though its suppose to represent max constantly being drunk or hungover but its no big deal. If you like max payne in the past pick it up. Its worth a buy.

Last time I played Max Payne was the original on my XBOX MANY years ago. I had actually done a search for most graphic, yet well-designed FPS games. MP3 is what popped up. It did not disappoint. Bullet time effects are great, storyline is good without being too over the top and definitely not boring. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it...even though I was some time late in getting it since it's release.

Im not a gamer, i get tired of video games easily but was bored and decided to get a ps3 along with this game. It's a great game, the type that makes you wanna keep going, great graphics and story line, feels like an interactive movie!!!!. Not for kids though, strong language.

It was hard for me to adequately review this account of my "poor" gameplay. The game looked amazing and I was having a blast playing it, I got stuck on an early mission and replayed the same mission like 10 times w/o success. I had full trying though. I took a star off because its a rockstar game and my copy of GTAV is messing up my ps3 (80010017 errors / freezing) so I am a lil mad at them.

I enjoyed playing this game very much. Had never played any of the previous titles and I might get them now because of this game

Based on the reviews; my expectations for this game were high. After playing it for awhile I was disappointed. You find yourself running from one unspectacular gunfight to another. The controls are not very user friendly and can be quite frustrating when your in the mix. I'm glad I purchased this game for a low price.

Max Payne is a good action game. The game is fun and can be challenging.

Great game. Loved every minute of it. The online was fun until the hackers took over.

The game is the first we bought from max Payne series. Still good. The graphics are fine. Lot of violence and drinking and partying. Some adult themes and nudity. But as the game progresses we get into the theme and not pay a lot of attention to the bad stuff. It is still a game. The only bad part is the villains and most people talk in Portuguese and there is no translation- not even the sub titles.

Max Payne 3 is a solid shooter with much of its potential realized, but lacking in several areas that damage the overall experience. Shooting and killing enemies is great, and the shootdodge works wondefully, but the game needs to remix those elements more liberally. It gets old fast. How they seem to break up the tedium is with crippling load times--the first time you put this game into your PS3, expect a 30 minute wait to actually play the game. Install, update, and the intro sequence take at least that long. Which doesn't ruin the game, but when you replay it and want to skip the cinematics, you're stuck with a "Game Loading" message, up until the last minute of the cutscene. Which entirely defeats the purpose of being able to skip that scene in the first place. Then you have a somewhat dead online community, divided by "auto-aim" and "manual aim". Finding a game can be tough, and when you do, you're likely to encounter freezing and other bugs. But then Rockstar decided to split the community even more with their DLC maps. It can be a painful experience to play online, but when it works, it works well.

This is a fun game from a great series. I cant wait to see where the series will go from here.

This brings back memories. I like the commentary on this game, very impressive, gameplay is filled with action and there is plenty to do on this game.

This game is a continuation of Max Payne 2, so technically a sequel. You go undercover as a cop and get caught in deep.

Have been a fan of the Max Payne games since they first came out and this one did not disappoint.
