Customers love the ergonomic design, wrist rest, quiet keys, and reasonable price of the Ergonomic Full-size Wired Mechanical Keyboard. They find it comfortable to use and appreciate the tactile feel of the keys. While some users mention a learning curve and challenges with the split keyboard layout, the overall sentiment is positive.

I'll admit that a split keyboard takes some getting used to at first, but I bought on recommendation of my chiropractor as a better keyboard than my laptop keyboard. And it is: a full keyboard with all of the bells and whistles. And in no time, I was sailing over the keyboard with my fingertips like an old pro. Love this!

I'm not usually a Microsoft fan. Indeed I'm really very much not fond of Microsoft at all, and avoid their products as much as I can.
But this keyboard is one product I really do like. It has a really nice feel for those who can touch type, with nicely weighted keys and good response. Very quiet to type on, which is appreciated in my house when I need to do work at night.
I do wish it had the volume wheel in the middle like the Microsoft ergonomics of years ago but otherwise it is a very nice keyboard.
The toughest thing for me to get used to is the placement of the function keys above; while they do line up with the keys on the keyboard it places a break between F6 and F7 (as opposed to clustering F1-F4, F5-F8, F9-F12 as a normal keyboard would do). This means if I'm reaching for F4 to have a break after it (ie to quickly hit Alt-F4) I end up with F6 instead.
This keyboard does occasionally go on sale, I would recommend waiting for the sale price as the MSRP is a bit high in my opinion.

I finally decided to try an ergonomic type keyboard because of the amount of time I use my computer. The Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard that I purchased is very good for the wrists. The ergonomic design is really nice. The only drawback for me is that the location of some of the keys feels awkward as far as how I'm used to typing.
Overall, very comfortable keyboard.

I very much prefer split ergonomic keyboards and jumped at the chance to purchase this when I first saw it in the store. Typing letters is quite comfortable. Keys have a good amount of travel and are spaced out far enough to be comfortable but not too far.
The cluster of nine buttons including Delete, Insert, Home, and Page Up/Down is different and takes some getting used to. I think I got most of the way there, but definitely not all the way.
The numeric pad on the far right just isn't right for me. I could not, for the life of me move my right hand from the J,K,L,; keys to the number pad and consistently ten-key properly. My natural tendency was to find the 123 keys instead of the 456 keys. The keypad seems to be further away from you (towards the monitor if keyboard is between you and monitor) than the keys. This is one of my least favorite attached ten-keys that I've used.
The price is pretty good for a split keyboard with good quality letter keys.
I prefer the standard Microsoft 4000 to this one. It's cheaper and works better.

It's definitely more comfortable than a regular one. The only thing is the keys are kind of hard to press. I wonder if this doesn't add some unnecessary difficulty (or maybe it's the way it's supposed to be).
The cable is long enough.
I like that it has a key for the calculator, which I use quite often.
