My 4th Ergonomic was a Best Buy open box deal

We've been using the Microsoft ergonomic keyboard for decades (literally) ... I think between the two of us this our 4th one. The design today is better than it was 30 years ago. Best Buy offered an open-box deal which clinched the sale. Was clean and works fine.

    Missed opportunity

My keyboard 4000 started to show wrong characters, so I had to throw it out and get a new one. That was a nice keyboard. Too sad Microsoft chose to discontinue that keyboard and instead introduce this one. While 4000 may look a bit dated, Microsoft could do a refresh instead of creating this keyboard which is difficult to use. The keyboard layout is just stupid. Why? Why? Why do you put a context menu key in next to the left control key? It is so cramped there, and when I first started to use the keyboard, I pressed the windows key many times instead of the Alt key. And the office key and emoji key on the right? Seriously? Has ANYONE asked for them? You really think office workers are going to constantly send emojis to other people? And I created an ahk script just to disable that office key. The placement of num lock, screen lock and pause are just idiotic. I get it that people don't use these keys very much, but you could have just removed them instead of shuffling their positions? And they put print screen and delete next to F12, and the keys are tiny, which makes it difficult to find either F12 or print screen. Otherwise the keyboard is ok. I still prefer the feel of 4000. Microsoft, please get yourself together and release a proper keyboard.

First one of these keyboards I bought some of the shift keys stopped working a few days after buying it. The second one has worked just fine. Wish there were still more options for corded keyboards that are ergonomic.

I bought this keyboard when the more expensive wireless one stopped working, I like having an ergonomic keyboard. Once you head in this direction and start using these keyboards your hands will thank you.❤ My only complaint is that the keys can feel a little mushy.

I absolutely love this keyboard. The adjustment was super-easy as it is designed for the natural curve and working ease of the hand. It's very relaxing and the strain in my hands, wrists, and forearms is now gone.

The keyboard has very useful shortcut keys. It is easy to use even with inflammation in hands. I am very glad I purchased it. Works well with my computer set up. Easy to adjust using with the ergonomic key positions.

This keyboard is almost great. Some of the special keys are in a different place than I'm accustomed to, but they're easy enough to work around. I bought the keyboard to be more comfortable for my wrists than a regular keyboard, and it does that well.

I used the ms natural elite for years before a key stopped working. Went with the ms 4000 after that. It worked for a long time until an unfortunate spill took it out. Been using a regular logitech straight keyboard for a while and its been difficult after using the ergonomics. Now this ms ergonomic, its nice. I like it better than the ms 4000. The keys seem to offer better feedback in my opinion. Some reviews noted the lack of legs in the back to raise it like the 4000 has. It doesnt need to be raised in the back or the front if your sitting at the proper height to your desk. I felt instant relief switching from the straight style keyboard. This one feels more similar to the natural elite than the 4000. The keys felt a little clunky at first compared to the keyboard i was using but I got over it quick and am typing faster now than before. The shortcut keys are nice. The keyboard itself looks nice too. I have bigger hands and this keyboard offers so much more room for the hands and fingers compared to a conventional keyboard. The palm rest is just the right amount of firmness and softness. Winner. Send it!

Great product. I have been using Kinesis Freestyle keyboard and that one is great! I then switched to this and it is not quite in the same category but it does well. Keys are easy to press and my wrists don't get tired.

Nice product. Very smooth typing. 3 improvements that will help 1. It would be nice if the keyboard were lit. 2. I wish that they'd bring back the rear legs so that I could type at an angle. 3. The plug is USB B not C.

Nice keyboard. Note that it is not bluetooth and the keys are a bit loud to type on. Placement of the keys takes some getting used to. I've usually typed on small laptops and I picked it up in an hour or so.

I love that my wrists don't hurt while using this! It is quite different from what I've been used to though, so it's gonna take more time to adjust to the new normal. The feel is very natural, and I am enjoying learning something new.

Curve design and ergonomic design is very nice and good for work form home use. key layout is bit odd and specifically delete keys/number pad can be different from normal feel of a keyboard for fast number entry.

I have tendonitis in both wrist and by using this keyboard versus a regular keyboard I don't have pain in my wrist now. Worth the money I spent on it. This is the first thing I bought when we were asked to work from home.
