I got this to help me with an Apple computer. A few of the keys were different, but what I did not like was the white lettering on the keys should have been much whiter, brighter and bigger. Not easy on the eyes. Very hard to see.

Successor to Natural 4000 Misses the mark

This keyboard is terrible compared to the tried-and-true Natural 4000 ergonomic keyboard. For some reason, the volume keys are in the upper left, versus on the right, the numlock is in a weird sport, and the keys feel mushy - poor tactile feedback. The board and they keys feel thinner than the 4000, which doesn't feel good to type on. It also feels easier to make typos on this model compared to the 4000 series. TLDR; This is a poor replacement to the Natural 4000 keyboard. Keys are mushy and feel more shallow. Key/button arrangement feels unnatural compared to the 4000. Keyboard cable is thinner/flimsy. Keyboard body is thinner than 4000. I realize it's hard finding a split keyboard, let alone a keyboard marketed as "ergonomic". So it may be difficult to find a suitable replacement. However, I would in no way recommend this product to anyone. Microsoft, if you're reading this, know that you seriously dropped the ball on this one.

I purchased this and ended up returning it. It just didn't quite fit my hands/wrists correctly. If you can afford to make the jump to the Logitech ERGO K860, the upgrade is definitely worth it.

Stopped working after less than a year...

I bought this keyboard summer 2020. It worked fine, until yesterday. Now my computer doesn't recognize the keyboard. I tried unplugging it and then plugging it back in. Then I tried different USB ports. Nada... My husband tried it on his computer. Same deal. This wasn't exactly a cheap keyboard. I didn't save my Best Buy receipt, so I guess I'm stuck. But I will certainly not buy another Microsoft keyboard to replace this one.

This keyboard was great in the beginning, then 6 months later it just out of the blue stops working. Unable to get a exchange or a hold of anyone from Microsoft to help me with the issue. Normally I wouldnt write anything but I paid almost $50.00 for this keyboard due to my carpal tunnal in both hands, and now I am back to square one. Thanks,

Not the best, not the worst. Comfortable to type with. I wanted a wired keyboard though, and they don't make this specific style in wireless.

I bought and not even a week after having it number keys kept staying pushed down. This is really annoying since I type for work and have to go back and pluck it up. I don't have any drink or snacks at my desk so it isn't that. Just seems cheaply made, I was in a pinch when I got it, its better to spend more money for better quality!

It is very hard to read unless there is good light. I would like it better if the keyboard came in white.

It's ok if you only use 1 keyboard. If you have more then one that you have to switch between it is hard to go back and forth if they are not the same.

    FALSE listing, NOT mechanical

Nobody except Best Buy lists this as a mechanical keyboard, because it is NOT a mechanical keyboard. Pry a keycap off and you can clearly see the gel membrane below. This gives the keyboard a sticky feel and for me causes my fingers to slip and my joints to ache. Kind of defeats the purpose.

I bought this product 5/10/20 and within just a couple of months working at home during the pandemic, some of the letters began to fade and then disappeared altogether. Then yesterday (1 year and 1 day after purchase) the "T" button stopped working....it depressed but no "T" would appear on my documents. I took it to BestBuy today and was told there was nothing they could do about it.

So I bought this January of 2020. I only had it for a month then suddenly there was a key lag. I’d press the key and there was no response. I unplugged for a few days then plug it back to my PC and it started working fine. I used it for work so after 4 hours into my shift it starts to lag. This is an issue I have with it daily. I shouldn’t have bought this and at this point too late to return. Don’t buy. Get another brand.

This is not a ergonomic friendly keyboard. It seemed to hurt my wrist even more while typing. I gave it a try but it just didn’t work out I returned it and bought another keyboard. If you have carpal tunnel or problems with your hands and you’re on the keyboard all day I wouldn’t recommend this one.

NOT a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000

For years I've used Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - USB and loved it. I quickly purchased this without noticing it's a cheaper, worse version, with keys that don't click and are too close together. Will be returning and buying a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 - USB. So glad they still make those!
