It turns the plug on my Surface 3 into a VGA cord. It's small and portable and does what it's supposed to. A little pricey for what it is, but the generic plug isn't the best for the Surface line due to the unique angle of the tablet's body.

This cable is required to hook-up a Microsoft Surface pro 3 computer to an external monitor. I used it to connect to a Dell 23" Flatscreen LED HD Monitor and it works great. Signal clarity is good and there appears to be minimal to no loss of signal from computer to display. You are, more or less, at the mercy of the quality of monitor you are hooking it up to for picture quality. Still working fine, too! A little pricey, though, for what appears to be a simple interface cable.

Very easy to use - no setup required. I just plugged the cable to the VGA monitor and the docking station and was able to see the large 25 inch monitor. So far I haven't noticed any downside to using this adapter other than the price - I think the price could have been $10 cheaper.

This allows you to plug your surface into any monitor without a docking station. A MUST when switching between home and work.

This adapter was easy to hook up. It adds a lot of function to the home office as it enables us to use a full size monitor.

If you have a Surface Pro, highly recommend you buy this authentic plug-in specifically designed for the Surface Pro because you plug it in and are immediately connected with no problems. Other brands may be slightly less expensive but may not connect as well. This one works great, no problems at all, even when I upgraded to Windows 10.

This is a great accessory for the Surface. I love the ability to have a second screen. Easy to use.

This does what it needs too. It allows me to share my screen from my SP3 and use a second monitor. The only issue I have is that it was expensive and didn't just come supplied with the dock that was also expensive.

This device that I use with my surface pro 3 allows me to speed up my computer time. It is portable, durable, and hooks up to the old school monitors. I do a lot of presenting so this was an excellent purchase.

I had my reservations with this product. I feared that it would only work with the Surface Pro docking station. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it works with Surface (non-Pro) docking station.

Bought this to connect two computers to a single monitor - was easy to set up and is easy to use - just a single button to push to switch from one computer to the other. No loss in display quality on either computer.

THE VGA ADAPTER JUST ALLOWS THE SURFACE TO DO MUCH MORE VISUALLY AND IT MAKES ME ENJOY THE SURFACE SO MUCH MORE.
