So far so good, we had a minor set back with product. We took into store within warranty time frame and geek squad was great at correcting issue. For what we need it for It is working perfect. One thing we would have like to see on this product is a micro sd expansion but out side of that I would recommend product

I went to Best Buy looking for a laptop for college, and I originally planned on buying a Macbook. After talking to an associate for some time, I decided on the surface book. So far it has been well worth it, and it cost about the same as I would have paid for a macbook.

I purchased the Surface book in an attempt to narrow down to one system for everything. Previously I used an Ipad Pro and Apple pencil for hand written note taking and a PC laptop for everything else. I thought I could get the surface book and use the Surface Pen and OneNote to take my notes and it would also double as a PC for everything else. Right out of the box the first one had issues. The screen would not always release correctly and sometimes would show as being released while it was attached rendering the keyboard useless as it shuts off when the screen is detached. The second issue I had was with OneNote. While taking notes, OneNote would lock up and the entire computer would freeze. The only way to get it going again would be to shut it down by holding the power button down and restarting everything. Multiple times I had to revert back to pen and paper due to the lock-ups all within the first day or two. Needless to say I returned the first one with intentions of going a different route but was talked into another Surface Book by a sales associate. The second one didn't have any issue with the hinge but had the same issue with OneNote. Through all of this consider that we live an hour and a half from the nearest best buy. We drive back to best buy....again!! This time I exchanged it for a MacBook Pro thinking at least I can seamlessly transfer documents between the ipad and macbook. Got the macbook home, the zero key doesn't work. Does Best buy get reject seconds or something??? To make things worse, we drive....another hour and a half!!!...to exchange the macbook and during the exchange I get a warning that I may not be able to return items anymore??? So I tell the guy at the counter just refund my money then, with the luck I've had I don't want to risk getting another dud and not being able to return it. He assures me that the system says that all the time but it never blocks returns. Stupid me, I believe him. Now we have a $170 pair of Samsung IconX ear buds that have problems(1 week old) go to take them back....they can't accept my return, nobody can override it, I have to call some third party company which by the way is completely useless, and I'm stuck with a pair of overpriced earbuds that don't sync properly and have a mesh screen that has fallen out of them, hopefully not into my wife's ear canal!!!

I love this laptop. It has the flexibility to be used as a durable laptop, and can double as a tablet that is not too big. Was looking for a laptop, but got lucky and got a tablet as well. If you are looking for something flexible, I wouldn't buy anything else.

I purchased this computer for my daughter who's a nursing student. She cannot say enough good things about it especially when it comes to writing papers. The only drawback she has complained about is the fact that everyone in her class continuously asks her questions about her new computer!

The laptop runs quickly. The screen is detachable which I like and the ability to write directly on the screen. However, when used in this way the battery runs out quickly. I was able to purchase the laptop on a price match.

The Surface Book fits our needs primarily as a notebook. We use it for business & personal. The pen is a great addition, especially when we separate the screen for tablet mode. If you are primarily interested in online (SaaS) functionality, this device lacks for nothing.

I love my surface book. By far the favorite of all laptops, also use it at work far more than I intended. Has some bugs and may require reboots for various reasons, however this being the current flagship product of Microsoft I can confidently assume that the bugs will be worked out sooner or later

I got this laptop for school. It has been great for my math class. I love the pen functionality. I also enjoy being able to remove the display from time to time to browse the web on the couch. I did try a Surface Pro 4, but I found that inconvenient for lap use.

I really wanted to like the SurfaceBook. After having the Surface 3 for a couple years, I purchased this to upgrade.
For me, the 13.5" screen was a little too big to use as a tablet to take notes in a meeting and the screen size is a little too small to use as a laptop without a monitor attached.

This computer is great. My son bought it for college and loves it especially one note. He can record what the teacher is saying and takes notes as teacher is talking so he can review his notes and listen to what the teacher had said in class. Great computer

After my laptop was stolen, I needed a new one to replace the old and wanted a unique type of security feature. This one has the face recognition and I love it! I don't have to worry about anyone logging into it unless they have my code. Love it!

I've always been a Macintosh person. It was with some trepidation that I took a chance on this new device. The Best Buy salesman was very helpful and explain the advantages. I'm very happy with it.

This is the best laptop I have purchased to date for many reasons; I can work in the office or on the road, detach the screen for an intimate presentation, or push pixels to the projector (for the big show) with its snappy GPU. Well worth the extra money!

So glad I stepped away from the normal full-size laptop and went with the Surface for my office computer. Using the Surface along with Microsoft's One Drive makes combining my work between my previous laptop and my handheld devices so easy.

Purchased this for college. It does exactly what i need it to do. I didn't need the huge upgrade in software. It's fast and reliable. It hasn't had any glitches yet so far. Battery isn't awful, but wish it lasted a little longer. (maybe 2-3 hours max)
