Microsoft docking stations work best with Surface. I have a non-Microsoft dock at work and it causes a lot of lag.

Worked perfectly. Bought a lesser brand and it was a mistake that won't happen again. Bestbuy always has quality products

We use these in our business and they work great with the surface laptops and the surface tablets.

Nice to have and works pretty well most the time. A must have if you used your surface on the go but like to use it on an external monitor/keyboard & mouse regularly through out the day. My only issue with it was getting it to display correcting when running two 1080p monitors. They only had HDMI so I had to use USB-C to HDMI cables and it took a lot of tinkering to get it to work correctly. My issue could have been the cheap cables I'm using but it's working fine now.

This dock was just what we needed to further unlock the potential of my daughter's Surface for work and school. Small form factor, yet allows her to connect monitors and other peripherals. It tucks away nicely on her desk leaving her more desk space to work with. Worth the purchase.

Has most ports but not all. Double check listing for specifics. I would have expected it to be a least a little smaller than the original.

All the needed plug ins and not all the hassle of cables and extra cables. HDMI, VGA, USB A and C and can power your cell phone while working! This is awesome!

I got a surface laptop 3 for work and school. I need more ports for work. I got this and it was the best thing ever. Easy to use and save you from more cords.

Overpriced but if you are Microsoft guy, like me, then it is necessary. I transformed my surface pro into a full functional computer desktop!

The MS Surface Dock 2 isn't cheap but it will add a lot of additional functionality to your Surface with simple plug in and go ease.

Always good to have a backup. Take this one on the go with you. Small but powerful. Charges pretty quickly

This Surface Dock 2 is really handy. It's a great product if you want to minimize the number of things connected to your Surface. Every time you want a break from working at your desk, you can easily take the Surface Pro with you (and use it as a tablet) without disconnecting a bunch of things every time. Even though this is a bit pricey, this is a USB hub and a power supply for your Surface all in one. My only justification for its high price is that a high quality portable computer device deserves high quality accessories.

Easy to use and setup. Needed to turn my Surface Laptop into a multi-screen workstation. The Dock 2 worked perfect.

I've been using the dock for over a year now and it's been a disappointing experience. The design of not having an HDMI or DP connection is not great, and requires you to go buy another accessory to link to an external display. The cable I use works fine when plugged into the USB-C port on the side of the Surface Pro 9, but when I plug it into the dock, Windows complains about not having enough power (the dock has an external power supply!) and the video signal drops out occasionally.

Easy to use and works well with my peripherals. Wish it had an HDMI or VGA for my monitor but I just went ahead and bought a USB-C to HDMI/VGA adapter

Like that it is small and lightweight...doesn't take up a lot of space and easy to carry move around.

Worked amazingly well with my Microsoft Office pro and additional screens.
