Simple adapters may be a better solution

Ultimately, I found this dock to be heavy, bulky and not really as useful as I had hoped - that said, it is meant to be used as a stationary dock. I returned the item for a couple of easy to carry adapters that convert display port to hdmi and USB to a couple more USB. This suits my needs better. To each their own.

Perfect for Surface Pro 6

The usb-c 3.1 gen2 speeds are a welcome addition. My only complaint is that this thing is heavy and not very portable. It doesn't just live at my main workstation, so I have to pack up both bricks(which are both heavy) and all the chords every time I move with it.
