works as described, quality build. However for the price I think they shouldve included a standard hdmi port so that there is no need to buy a USB 3.0 to hdmi cable.

The surface dock 2 has been very useful with all my peripherals attached. Even the rj46 cable connection for my direct connect to my router worked like a charm

Pricey but you get what you pay for! Makes no sense to cheap out on the dock when you pay so much for the laptop!

Buy this please to run your external displays with a surface product. If you try any other docks you will just be waisting money and you'll find yourself buying this anyways!!

All works well. My only minor complaint is external monitors take a few seconds longer to come on than main screen.

Perfect addition for my Surface Pro 7. My PC is slowly dying (as they do) and having the ability to turn my tablet/laptop into a PC saves me $.

Good docking station. The only real downside is that you need to use USB-C to connect monitors, which isn't mentioned in the description.

Need this for Surface Laptop I purchased for my dad so he can attach monitor and printer without be too complex. It's great that attaching this dock climates the need for additional laptop charging cable without utilizing addition laptop ports because it attaches to the laptop charging port. But I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't directly attach an HDMI cable without an adapter (not included), which so many other docks these days seem to have direct HDMI output.

So far has worked wonderfully without screen or device issues.

Advertised to work at 60hz refresh. I got it kinda working using display port cables however, my surface laptop 3 would never come out of sleep mode with the refresh rate at 60hz. Very un cool for a $250 piece of HW. Avoid, it is un acceptable docking solution for 4k monitors

I needed the extra USB ports and a cat5 for a wired net work connection. I prefere a wired connection to WIFI.

Durable. Cords is of an appropriate length. Works as expected.

I purchased a Microsoft Surface Doc from Amazon. After a few months, my computers starting turning off and on. I purchased the same Doc from Best Buy. So far so good!

5+ item to add tremendous functionality to the Surface Book 2 and/or 3. The SB has limited port access, hence the dock which adds tremendous usability & flexibility.

The dock did not work correctly as I needed. The dock 2 was a better product for the money

These Surface docks are very handy and have all the connections I needed to connect my Surface to multiple monitors.

Was easy enough to use, once I found the correct video cables for it. Would have been nice to have some information on the video cable needed.

I have used the docking station a couple of times. It works well, much heavier than I was expecting. I need to buy an adapter to use the USB/ Display function.
