Get the biggest memory card you can afford

I bought this biggest memory and speed which helps me keep this for two years before it becomes so slow I need a new one. I have had no troubles with this Surface pro, and it gets roughly handled at home, This is the third one I have had, the screen is big enough and it is light. that is really important as I lug it around to see clients. Great for a small biz person

Excellent Product with a Few Irritating Features

The Surface Laptop 3 is very light, appears to be sturdy and is a solid product overall. There are a few irritating features. One is the power cord which is EXTREMELY short which requires me to drag along an extension cord everywhere. Another dysfunctional aspect is the unuseful placement of the Home, End, PgUp and PgDn buttons. Those keys should be near the arrows and their placement is so bad, they are not used. I am used to using these keys often. I also need to learn how to increase the font size in certain programs, such as Quickbooks that has many unreadable screens (looks like 3-4 size font). I have been using Quickbooks since 1999 and laptops since 1996. These characteristics are irritating. Having only one regular USB port and one USB-C port means that I have to drag around a multi-port adapter. While these are irritations, I have been getting used to them in the 3 weeks I have owned this laptop on which I work 10 hours each day minimum.

Great looking laptop. Sleek, compact. Fast and reliable. I always wanted to own a surface, but I didn’t want to deal with buying a keyboard and a mouse; that’s why I chose a surface laptop. I really enjoy it

Shipping took longer than expected. When it arrived, there was no booklet on how to operate it. Not even a card saying a link to the handbook for how to operate it. I got logged in. My info came up. I opened a book to check it out. I loaded part two of the series by accident, so I tried to go back to my home screen and load part one but I couldn't get out of the book. I can't get back to my home screen. I can't even adjust the brightness if I have a book loaded. I pulled up from the bottom, and all I got was a menu of the book chapters. I hit the back button but it wouldn't go back any further than the book cover. I went to the end, it only went to the review page. There are only three buttons on the thing: forward, backward, and power. None got me back. I finally held the power button until I could restart it. That took me back to the home screen but I shouldn't have to reboot every time I want to escape a book. I tried calling Best Buy. After 45 minutes of being on hold and hung-up on, I had to schedule a Geek Squad appt. I tried Googling it and watching YouTube videos. I shouldn't have to. My appt, is next week.

It is a very nice quality laptop compared to all the Dells I have used at work. The speed is very satisfying. I have also figured that by subscribing to OneDrive, I get MS office for free. the battery life is average - nothing too impressive. I did get the blue screen for a few times during the first week, but the issue was manageable.

I bought this laptop to replace a Dell with a desk, chair and a lot of wasted space. This computer is fast, easy to get around and I'm still trying to catch up with all it can do. My buddy is into computers and this is on his wish list. Thanks so much for a great product. John

I am a longtime MacBookPro user. For a windows-based machine, I love the weight, facial recognition and touchscreen. The color is great, too. Highly recommend this machine.

This computer is super thin, has limited ports but has worked very well for editing. I use multiple adobe programs for work as well as website editing. I bought in May of 2021 and as of Jan 2022, the entire screen has begun to flicker. No updates pending, no driver to update or rollback on. Looking via google, sounds like a common problem amongst surface laptops unfortunately.

I love the laptop but it’s too early to be seeing issues. When it overheats, the text on the screen gets jumpy and starts moving, and I’ve had to uninstall the Intel Wi-Fi driver because it wasn’t working and I wasn’t allowed to connect to my Wi-Fi. Other than that it’s fast and does everything I needed to do. I just hope it doesn’t give me any other problems and it last for a long time. I do enjoy how sturdy the frame is and it’s a good size for me.

I actually got this at the Best Buy outlet store. I was a GREAT deal - but that's not what this review is about. This unit is great! Very light and portable - touch screen just like a surface but with an integrated keyboard. Works well with the pen (purchased separately). I would recommend for anyone that needs a mobile laptop with some power (i7 is great)!

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 3 is a great laptop. I purchased the sandstone color and it is beautiful. The laptop is light and is very easy to carry around. It also comes with a “clean” install so you don’t have to worry about a lot of free trials preloaded on the laptop. My only disappointment is that it has only one USB-A port so I’m still looking for a hub to add more ports. Otherwise, I really like it!

I love this laptop is lightweight and sleek. The battery life is great. I use it for programming and engineering and it lasts pretty much all day on one charge and recharges in what feels like less than an hour. The applications load seamlessly, USB files open instantly, and facial recognition is instant. It's a great laptop with a beautiful design. It worths every penny you paid.

I ordered online after reviewing several computers. I decided on the laptop I ordered due to the additional $300 discount on this color. Color does not matter to me so I ordered it online and picked it up at the store. It was very easy to pickup. I prefer to pickup at the store as I do not trust the mail. It was a very good experience.

I was very scared about many negative reviews I have read, but this machine seems to be working really well. It's a very beautiful machine and it definitely has a premium build. It's fast and powerful which is what I expected. the material seems durable, and I hope it will continue to work well for years to come. If I never edit this review assume the best. cheers.

Already had a surface pro and a surface laptop 2 previously. This time I went for the i7 and this laptop is certainly a screamer. Rarely gets hot, good thermals. Not a gaming machine but I know that going into it.
