I purchased this hoping it would be able to stream movies or live TV with no issues as well as use it for work. I travel a lot and having a small laptop was important. This was on sale at the time of my purchase, so I decided to give it a shot. I returned it 2 days later and upgraded to the I-5 chip instead. If streaming isn’t a concern at all, it will suffice, but, when you stream a movie, there is noticeable drag on characters.

The keyboard connections broke within the first year. A replacement costs quarter of the price.

Worked great for about 6 weeks then just wouldn't start. Good thing I happened to buy this Surface during the extended holiday period and was able to return with no problem.
I'm very surprised because of all of the great reviews and am unsure if I would buy another.

The first one only worked in Spanish, the second one wouldn’t communicate with the keyboard. The keyboard worked on my husbands Surface, so it was a problem with the Surface.
I was on the phone 1 hour, transferred to 5 people then the call was disconnected.
I printed a return and sent it back. I hope they refund my card!
Then I ordered one from Amazon, not one problem at all!

Worked ok up until my 1 year protection plan was up. Then it started crashing all the time, with lots of stop codes. I barley used it, only while I was out with clients. I am soo disappointed in this machine. I have been a Mac user for over 10 years and decided to try out a Microsoft machine to use Windows 10. Big MISTAKE!

I had to use another device to Google how to reboot the Surface Pro because it would not turn on although fully charged. Not a satisfied customer.

Microsoft makes with i5 and i7. This low end version with m processor seems to be for Best Buy only.

I originally bought a Surface Go for $399 which did not come with a keyboard, so that was an additional $99. I then saw that this Surface Pro (m3) was on sale for $599 (including keyboard), which was only $100 more than what I paid for the Go. So I exchanged the Go for this one and I could not be any happier. I only use it for doing classwork on Google Docs and One Note, but I can already see the speed difference between the two. This surface Pro loads pages much faster, despite only having an m3 processor. The upgrade from a 10" to a 12" screen was definitely a plus too. If you're contemplating between getting a Go or this one, I'd suggest you get this one. It's completely worth the extra $100.

I had a Surface Go and thought it was too small. So I got this to basically be a Surface Go 12.3", and it's perfect! Despite the older processor and 4GBs of RAM, this thing is a beast. I'm a graphic artist, and I can run Photoshop, After Effects, and several chrome tabs open with no lag at all! Don't let the specs fool you, for $599 this is a great windows tablet.

Great product for a college student

So I was looking for some new hardware to replace the very large and very heavy laptop I was using for class. It was between the Surface Go and the Tab 4 when I ran across this bundle. I didn't need anything too over the top. Just something to be able to do school work on campus, emails, Netflix, and reading ebooks. This product accomplishes that and then some.
I am so excited that I got this. It is absolutely gorgeous and does everything that I need it to do fairly quickly. I really liked the price point for the tablet with the keyboard as well. The sound is fantastic, the feel of the keyboard and the way it feels to type on it is great.
If you are just looking for something to do the basics on this is definitely the product for you. If you are wanting to be able to do a ton of things at once and play games I would buy one of the higher end surface's. But if you are a college student like me and just want something to do the basics while out and about this is your product.
I would definitely buy this again and have recommended it to all of my friends already!

I've only had my surface pro for 3 days and I cannot seem to get away from it! I have forgotten about my phone. I am okay with the processor that it comes with because I will only be using it for the basics, like typing up school papers and watching videos. No need for an i3 or i5. The only negative thing about about this will be the 128gb of storage. Upon downloading a few apps, I am left with just half the storage now. Other than that, best electronic I have bought so far.

Great deal on the m3 version

Previous reviewers are understandably miffed when they thought they were getting a great deal on an i5 or higher Surface Pro. I'd be too. However, I'm reviewing this for what it actually is and that it's the lowest model in the Surface Pro line that comes with the cheaper keyboard. Granted, it's not a powerhouse but it wasn't meant to be. Not everyone needs an i5 or above. For straight emails and browsing along with the pen support, this a fantastic deal at the 600 price I paid. Local BB also PM'd a burgundy pen for 73 so all in all, I think I got a pretty good deal for both. I'm actually typing this review on the Surface. Some may argue that you can get a nice Chromebook with touch support for far cheaper and they are right, you can. However even with touch support, they do not support pen support with ANY amount of pressure levelswhich was something I was looking for. In fact, the new pen supports over 4k pressure levels. Highly recommend this combo deal if you can get it.

So far this has been a great computer for someone previously on a Mac. I love how thin and light it is and that it's so versatile - it can be a laptop or a tablet, and has optional touch-screen.
Hoping Windows continues to improve their OS, but I'm liking this so far!
