I love this machine! This past Christmas I had purchased the I-Pad Pro 12.9" for my bride. I was very impressed and thought about going that direction for my purchase, however due to my business activities and all of my current files being windows based, I made the surface purchase. the portability is awesome, the keyboard I purchased works great as protection for the screen and is super comfortable. During the day this is docked with my other screens and when I'm traveling its great to have the functionality of a tablet. I would definitely recommend. I will say I researched the Surface ProX as well and due to the software compatibility issues they are having with that platform, the Pro 7 for me seemed like a much better choice.

This is a decent laptop. I got it because I wanted something portable for school. Initially I had the i5/8gb ram, and while that did a good job for 99% of the tasks I do, I was really itching to get the 16gb ram to replace my desktop. The only 16GB ram I could find at the moment was in the i7. The biggest difference between i5 and i7 (other than the slight increase in speed), is that the i7 has a fan. I keep it on battery saver most of the time and I've never had it turn on when not plugged in and never ran into performance issues. It's extremely portable, and when I'm at home I use a USB-C Hub to extend the display and it works fantastic. The main advantage of having a surface is in the accessories. Think of this as the Pixel of Windows. It's made by them, they have their own special stuff they do with it and typically you can expect a smooth experience. My mom has the HP Envy (which was cheaper and came with a type cover, ahem) and that is really good too, but once in a while it would show its quirks (type cover lost its ability to connect properly, and the pen isn't as good). Also it doesn't have the same accessory base that the surface does. It was a lot easier finding a screen protector, case, etc for this. The biggest downside is the price. There's definitely a cost barrier that'd prevent a lot of people from getting this, and honestly if you don't need the surface accessories, you should go for something like the HP Envy or Lenovo. You can pick those up for half the price and often have better specs. Another downside is the camera. It's decent for a laptop camera, but come on now. If they are asking for this much $$ they can definitely work on the camera.

I've wanted a Surface Pro for years, and I LOVE this one. I ordered one with an i7 chip and upgraded to Windows Pro, so it works as well as my desktop, only with mobility. Most appreciate the ability to use it as either a laptop or a tablet. The flexibility is the key to its usefulness. Also it's light, fast and sleek. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Replaced my iPad Pro with the SP7, love it!

I needed a new tablet, and it was between the new iPad Pro and the Surface Pro 7. I have an iPhone XS and MacBook Pro, and haven’t had a Microsoft product in years. But, some of my professional software for my job only runs on a full desktop OS (either MacOS or Windows), so I often have to use my MacBook when I’d prefer the form factor and portability of a tablet. I was very hesitant making the switch from an iPad to the SP7, but so far, I love it! Windows 10 has come a long ways from the previous iterations, and the SP7 is a wonderful piece of hardware. The i7 processor and the 16GB of ram make it beastly enough to keep up with my MacBook in processing power, but it’s small enough and portable enough to replace my iPad. There’s still some user interface issues Microsoft needs to work through (primarily related to tablet mode when scrolling, selecting text, etc.), but overall it’s been a great experience. (I kinda wish I’d went with the Surface Book 2 instead of the MacBook Pro when I bought that a couple years ago.) Overall, the transition has been pretty smooth from Apple to Microsoft.

This is my second Surface Pro. I bought one of the original ones about 5 1/2 years ago. It was time to upgrade and the decision was easy to get a new one. My partner and I both use these for our business and it does it all. I also like the small footprint as it is easy to carry around but still very powerful. Great design.

My husband bought this because a program he uses only works with windows. For being a windows product we like it very much. It’s light and very portable. I like that you can use the keys, touchpad, your finger and the pen. There aren’t very many covers for them, but hopefully they’ll come. The size is good too. As an Apple fan, I find macs to be way easier and intuitive though. Had to say that.

Extremely happy with this purchase! It's a slight upgrade from the previous Surface with the USB-C connectivity, but not too much is different. The availability of the Core i7 processor is the real game changer. I bought this for media and light household use, but it's quickly becoming my primary device. I use this Surface daily to do schoolwork, and as a tablet to watch movies and respond to emails, and it handled everything seamlessly. Definitely something I'd wait to pick up at the Black Friday price, and of course don't expect the keyboard or pen to be included. But overall, I couldn't be happier.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 7 is a pleasure to work with. The boot up time is great, it’s ultra portable, and has a ton of accessories that you can personalize your experience with. I personally finished out my set up with the Ice Blue surface pen and the grey type cover, and the aesthetics are quite pleasing. This also works wonderfully to run all of the programs I need for my statistics class. There’s no loss in processing speed or power even with multiple applications open with several tabs open on my internet browser, while also listening to music and attending a Zoom class meeting. This was the work horse I needed to finish my degree!

This computer is very user friendly, My husband had one for work which made me want one. I was able to fill out forms with the pen and sign legal doc's and electronically send them without any difficulty. This computer definitely avoids needing to print and saves money on paper and ink. I love it! Best purchase yet.

I replaced my wife’s large laptop with a surface pro. At first, she wasn’t happy with the the screen size, but when she started carrying it around with her - she quickly ended up liking it more than the previous device. The pros: convenient, light, very functional, battery life The cons: you have to buy the keyboard separate. I understand that it’s a tablet, but it’s also taking the place of a laptop. The cool think about the keyboard is it does have a touch pad. So far, the device has been great!

MS Surface is the most comprehensive tablet there is. I can do just about everything and more. I would recommend getting the top of the line tablet because it will double as a laptop. I can do work, school work, home work, watch videos, play games, everything and anything. Cannot recommend this enough. *** Full disclosure, I was upgrading from my Surface pro 4 and had all the accessories that came with it. Accessories are sold separately.
