very lightweight, great suction on carpets and bare floors, easy to use attachments and switch back and forth!

I needed to replace an older vacuum and, never having had much success with Hoovers, decided to give Eureka a try and, the price was right. But, this vacuum cleaner exceeds my expectations. We have two cats and this really does the job on pet fur. It's easy to handle, the canister is easy to empty and the auto rewind for the power cord is convenient. We also have a Miele vacuum cleaner and this Eureka isn't as quiet but it does a very nice job. I doubt you can do better at the price.

This is my second Eureka to own, I bought it based on the price. My previous model lasted 3 years. I have three little girls who love to make a mess and this cleans up perfectly! Plus this vacuum is very easy to clean! My husband assembled it and I didn't get to read the instructions, so it was confusing to use the first time. This model has more buttons and features than my previously own model.

I've only had this vacuum since February and only used it about 10-12. Just stopped working. Eureka! I lost it.

I have had this vacuum for a week and used it several times. My previous Bissell vacuum broke after three years. I decided to try Eureka (the other reviews, sale price and features of this brand convinced me.) First, this vacuum was very easy to put together. I like that the screws were already in place and all I had to do was snap the parts together. This vacuum picks up a lot of dirt, maneuverability is excellent, auto chord is a great plus, easy to empty, and you can really feel the power of the vacuum when switching from floor to tools. As suggested by other reviews, be careful around other chords as the suction power is really strong.

I have 2 Dysons and I love this eureka the best! even has features that my dyson dosent have and they are not kidding when it says just as much suction-also love the automatic floor attachment for steps-the best part is I paid 3 times less for this one- satisfied customer

This Vacuum is the Whip ! Replaced my 20 year old Hoover Bag vacuum with this and WOW I found Dirt and Dog hair that I did not know was embedded in carpet. My carpet looks new again and furniture too thanks to the beater brush attachment. This machine is quiet and easy to use and clean out is a breeze. The cord rewind is also a great feature. It took more time to open the box then it did to put it together. Attachments are great to clean my car carpet too as it picked up road salt from the winter months still hiding. Nothing escapes this vacuum and it is pretty too in copper metallic. For under $100.00 it is another Best Buy steal. Thanks Eureka !

Does not have good suction and spits dirt out from attached hose.

We bought this new after reading a bunch of positive things. Figured all the big names were good enough. And were happy happy with it right out of the box. Seems to be getting more than our previous vacuum. But 8 months into ownership and the motor dies after 5-10 minutes of running. No real explanation. Thought it might be a overheating issue, but shuts off even after we set it to it's highest carpet setting. And it shuts off after 4 minutes of using the wand tool as well. We now vacuum one room at a time, taking over an hour and half to vacuum 4 rooms and a hallway. In the end, it can probably be fixed, but my guess is it'll cost more to fix it than it's probably worth. My advice would be to steer clear of the cheaper Eureka vacuums. We will not be buying another unit of this brand.

it is lightweight and extremely easy to empty great!

First off let me say that I purchased this awesome sweeper on a Deal of the Day sale and got a great price on it with free shipping. I waited one month to write this review just to see if my opinion changes. So far I like the sweeper a lot. My previous sweeper was a Hoover and it was heavy and hard to push. It cost me double what this one did and only lasted about 2 years before the motor burned out. I am a technician so I was inclined to take it apart. After inspection, I determined the problem started with the cheap On/Off switch that couldn't carry the full amperage causing the motor to overheat. Both burned out in the end. A replacement motor would have cost me as much as this sweeper and that is if I did the work. Enough said about that. We have a Eureka upstairs and liked it so I decided to give one a try for our main floor. It sweeps wonderfully and picks up effortlessly. It is lighter by far than the Hoover; probably a result of the lighter and cheaper plastic used by Eureka. I also like the cord rewind whereas the Hoover didn't have one. So far it has worked flawlessly. I especially like being able to turn off the brush roll when using the tools. I held back a star because I have only had the vacuum for one month and time will tell just how long it will hold up. If It lasts me a couple of years, I will be happy for the price I paid for it. I would recommend giving this model some careful consideration if you are shopping for a vacuum. I would buy again at this point.

I have a cleaning business and also need it for my house. I have 3 very hairy dogs. I just received the vacuum and I'm so pleased with it. I had a rug I thought I would have to throw away but this vacuum got all the dog hair up. The best vacuum for the money take it from a professional-It works very well. And no I'm paid for this review. Thanks-Holla atcha boy!!!!
