PROs:
Lots of internal and external pockets
Changing pad included
Dividers for multiple baby needs (i.e. spots for juice, milk & water)
Neutral enough that a man won't feel self-conscious wearing it
Thoughtful design touches for added utility (super-heavy duty zipper pull, extra large side pocket fits wipes and a few diapers)
Super-convenient size for errands or a short/day outing
Built-in top handle ties quickly/easily converts backpack into hand-carry bag
CONs:
Included changing pad takes up a LOT of interior space
Generally small interior--fits basic needs for a shorter/day outing, but nothing else
Convenience of hidden compartment ruined by placement against lower back--only good for something completely flat
Shoulder straps are small and on the thin side--this probably won't do well for a large person
Single-thickness fabric, especially at shoulder strap joints, makes long-term durability questionable
No feet/bottom support or covering to insulate the bag from wet/dirty floors and ground
This is a decent, practical, gender-neutral diaper bag for occasional use, specifically grab-and-go for shorter trips and errands--I wouldn't recommend planning an overnight bringing only this backpack along for your kiddo's needs (especially if you tend to pack stuff for you and other youngsters in the same bag). The capacity inside limits the amount of stuff you can pack away though the multitude of interior pockets gives lots of room to separate your baby finery from one another. This would have a been a real winner if the included changing pad could be packed away against the wearer's back instead of taking up interior space along with everything else. The straps may well hold up if used occasionally as suggested and the backpack isn't heavily overstuffed, but do be aware that they really are a bit on the narrow side so larger parents/care-givers take note. Still, for the money, it's actually a decent value and does only what it needs to, but does it pretty well.

My wife and I took a leap of faith with this diaper bag, ditching our actual bag bag that you carry with you hands with this Modal Backpack when we went on vacation. It turned out to be a good decision.
The backpack is stylish and sturdy. It feels well built as opposed to some that you can buy online. It doesn't hold an enormous amount of things but we always have extra space and our diaper bag is to get us from one place that has a supply of diapers and wipes to another place that has a supply of diapers and wipes. You don't need to take the whole playroom with you.
The modal diaper backpack came in handy when we had not 1 but 2 blowouts while on vacation. It's helpful to have that extra set of hands instead of holding a diaper bag. There is a dedicated spot for the wipes and a fold out changing mat, which could have been made a little wider. When you have an angry infant rolling around in poop, the more coverage you have on a changing mat the better. It's not a huge deal and I'm sure there are others you can buy that are a little wider that would fit fine in this backpack.
It's got multiple pockets and inside the main compartment there are smaller storage areas for pacifiers and other odds and ends your baby will need. My wife said she really liked the little extenders that are on all the zippers. Much easier to yank it open when you're not searching for a zipper.
All in all I would recommend this to parents who don't want to lug around a bag and want to free up their hands. It's stylish and holds what you need unless you carry a boatload of things. I feel completely comfortable carrying this on my back and storing it is easier than a bag.
If you're swimming in a ton of baby products while expecting (trust me I was in your shoes less than a year ago) or just looking to ditch a heavy bag, this bag might be what you're looking for. The quality is good, it looks good and the price is excellent.

Perfect Compact Diaper Backpack

Very spacious bag, especially for it's compact size. Bonus for the convenience of being a backpack! Has several bottle holders, along with many compartments that makes this bag very functional and practical. I easily fit 2 sippy cups, 20 diapers, several changes of clothes, medicines, and had plenty of room to spare. Even better it comes with it's own portable changing pad! I did dock one star because it's not the most stylish option, and the material is sturdy but may not be too comfortable if worn touching bare skin at all.

I got this backpack for my granddaughter's belongings because it looked really nice and functional. Now that it's in my hands, it's a convenient size that not only holds the items I need but also fits in the underside space of her stroller very nicely. The backpacks shoulder straps are very comfortable and easy to adjust even when its fully loaded. It also has snapping top handles to carry or move it.
There are several secured mesh bottle holders in the front pouch area and 2 on the inside of the bag. The holders also fit my 16oz water bottle & 20oz sports drink meaning we can both be happy. The inside of the larger pack area is big enough to fit several diapers, a change of clothes, and a small receiving blanket.
The backpack has a big zippered pocket on one side for wipes and an easy access pouch on the other for snacks. I really appreciate that! The zippers have easy to grip tabs and are sewn nicely. That was a very unexpected treat because it made zipping so easy and it doesn't catch on the material while zipping also. There is also a separate good sized pocket on the back of the pack for my phone, ID and keys.
It comes with a changing pad that folds up small, is very light, and is great for the "On the Go" change that happens when your out and about!
I think this is a Great 5 star Product. Just the right size for our walks and outings.

I always buy electronics, cameras and phones from BestBuy and never thought i will be buying a diaper Backpack from BestBuy. It is good to see that BestBuy is expanding their products in other areas as well.
Modal Diaper Backpack is very stylish and made with quality polyester material. The zippers are really smooth and stitching is really good inside as well. It is bigger than regular diaper bag and it is very comfortable to use. It has lot of space to pack of baby wipes and more options to put phone, keys etc. The changing is not great. It is a really good diaper backpack to organize the diapers, baby wipes, change clothes, bottles, toys and snacks.
There are 3 internal pockets and 2 side zipper pockets. It comes with adjustable shoulder straps and top carrying handles. It built with very good material for durability and rough use.
This is definitely all in one diaper backpack. I would recommend to anyone who are looking for a good diaper backpack with lot of features.

The Modal diaper bag is a great diaper bag if you have kids still in diapers, but past the infant stage. It's stylish and quite usable.
My wife and I have a 3 year old an 20 month old, both still in diapers. We love a lot about this bag. Here are some of our observations in the past week:
Pros:
* Super thick changing pad
* Large amount of storage space/compartments for organization.
* Design helps distribute weight evenly and lower (keeping stability when you're trying to get into it).
* Handle on the top of the bag is easy to grab and offers a great alternative for carrying.
* Dual handles make it easy to switch from carry to getting stuff out of the bag
* Mesh pouches are intended for bottles, but also great for alternative storage.
* Great design & materials
* The color and lack of patterns/design make this a great gender neutral bag that mom or dad would carry.
* The bag is comfortable to wear and the straps easy to adjust between partners
Cons:
* Cinch clips on the side are purely for aesthetics and get in the way of the side pouches.
* The main pouch only unzips across the top and is super deep making it challenging to get into. Having the zipper continue down the side slightly would make it easier to get into.
* Bottle pouches aren't insulated.
* Zippers have come undone a couple of times requiring an unzip and re-zip to fix.
All in all it's a great bag if you have a child in diapers but past the infant stage and are not trying to keep milk cold. The weight distribution and focus on comfort has set this bag apart for us. It's just so easy to manage while out and about. It also provides a fair amount of storage for the needs of both of our children. It also doesn't bulge or change shape too much as you load it up.
We both really like this bag. It's stable, comfortable, and not bulky. Highly recommended for parents of toddlers!

Lightweight, roomy and holding up well

This Modal diaper backpack is perfect for my needs. The main compartment is roomy enough to contain several items such as clothing, shoes, diapers, etc. I use it as a weekender bag. There is also a zippered in front which can accommodate small bottles, other small necessities. I used it once when it was raining, although the bag itself is not water resistant, it did not get soaked and the stuffs inside did not get wet. It dried overnight so it was ready to use again the next day. The adjustable straps have enough cushion that it won't be buried into your skin if you happen to put a lot inside the bag and it becomes heavy. The bag is holding up pretty well, considering I usually fill it to the brim whenever I use it. The bottom obviously is starting to get dirty but not too noticeable because of the fabric and color. It also comes with a changing pad although I prefer one that has more cushion. Overall, I recommend this backpack to those looking for a lightweight and roomy bag that they can ruggedly use (and abuse). I see myself using it for several years. Hope it will last that long.

I got this because I'm having a "Miracle baby" in December. This bag is great, looks and feels really nice and has plenty if storage. While it has all this storage the backpack is not too bulky. It also looks like a regular backpack which is nice for us guys out there.
Overall this is a really nice accessory and will be a great help when I'm out and about

This is a wonderful example of what a simple diaper bag should be: stylish, affordable, pockets where you needed them and nothing you don't.
I love the full-zip wipe pouch. I don't really care for the changing pad (I prefer ones with arms) but that's personal preference.
Definitely recommend checking this bag out.

The modal diaper backpack is well made and has a good amount of storage in it for all of your baby essentials. The changing pad does take up a lot of space, but that didn’t bother me that much. The handle on the top of the bag is easy to use and makes it easy to hold, say while you are waiting in line to get into a baseball game and security has to check your bag. They had no issues going thru it either. I wish the bottle pouches were insulated, but they are not with this bag. Weight distribution is nice when you are wearing it on your back and the straps are well padded and easily adjustable so if you need to swap it out and have someone else wear it. Design wise, it’s a bit boring, but I prefer it that way over a pink one or something like that. There are plenty of storage spots to keep things like snacks, diapers, and wipes separate. My wife and I do look forward to going out more to use this to it’s full potential. I have a feeling that it will hold up pretty well for us.

I really like this diaper bag. Our first diaper bag had almost no separate pockets or dividers and made finding things near impossible. That is not the case with this bag.
First, this bag is bigger than the pictures make it look. It's a good sized bag that fits everything we need for our 6 month old girl. There are plenty of interior pockets to store diapers, wipes, etc. The outside pockets are pretty big too.
I really like how far the front pocket opens, you won't have trouble getting to anything there.
The changing pad that comes with the bag works well,it's easy told up, and isn't too small that it's unusable.
The bag feels very well made, the material looks like it will clean easy and the zippers are smooth and don't feel like they'll wear out easy.
Overall, huge upgrade from my previous bag. Incredibly useful, easy to carry and so functional. Highly recommend.

Nice durable fabric.
Large enough to hold everything but still lightweight.
Liked the separate netting space for bottles
Easy to access side pocket for baby wipes.
Lots of storage pockets to keep it organized. Not cumbersome like a regular diaper bag. Backpack style allows you to have your hands and arms free.
Fold out changing cushion is nice
The only real issue is I used the zippered pocket inside the space designated for the bottles to put an ice pack in. The area is not sealed or insulated and only zips – so leakage could be an issue.
Would definitely recommend

Decent Diaper Bag/Backpack, But Nothing Special

Overall, the Modal Diaper Backpack is a perfectly decent bag. It's got a good amount of room for stuff, has separate compartments for bottles and wipes that are easy to access, and it's lightweight and water resistant. There's also some padding between the main compartment and the surface that goes against your back, which is nice to keep the collection of baby supplies from poking or or jabbing me. Of course, backpack-style means it's easy to carry for those of us who hate re-adjusting bags that hang on just one shoulder.
That said, there's nothing all that special about this bag, and some of the "features" just make me scratch my head. For example, the tag advertises "cushioned carrying handle when you want to carry it like a tote," but the top-mounted handles have absolutely no padding or cushioning. It's just two pieces of cloth folded over and sewn together. There are also cinch clips on the side that don't seem to do much. On some backpacks, cinch straps/clips go front to back, and compress the bag so it's doesn't stick out so far. On the Modal Diaper Backpack, they go top to bottom, and even at their tightest setting, just sort of pull the corner of the top zipper down a tiny bit. Finally, there's a "hidden" pocket for valuables that's on the back surface. Unless your valuables are completely flat (like a passport or some papers), they're going to be digging into your back from that position.
So, with a new baby in the house, I have no doubt we'll get plenty of use out of the Modal Diaper Backpack. It's not expensive, it's easy to carry, and has plenty of reasonably helpful pockets. But, it's just a basic back-worn diaper bag, and most of the extra features seem more silly than helpful.

It looks like the diaper bag of the future with all the necessary pockets compartments for all the necessities.
What is doesn't have is dedicated insulation for bottles or food. Instead there's a leak proof lining throughout the bag, which serves it's purpose. However a lot of parents, including myself, like to fix the bottle before leaving the house so as not to fool with possibly spilling the formula while tending to the child.
It's a good bag for the pockets alone, but i would carry a second insulated bag for food and milk.

Who would have thought you could get a nice diaper bag at Best Buy? I was impressed by both the style and build quality of this backpack. It's also extremely comfortable to wear with adjustable straps. I like how it sits high on my back which allows for greater posture.
The best part of this bag is that it's big without being big. It holds a LOT of stuff without feeling like a big bag. It's a testament to the thoughtful layout. Another plus was that it comes with a little diagram for suggested places to put things. I know that sounds stupid, but all too often I get a bag with all of these odd pockets in different places and I don't know how the maker intended to use them. But with the Modal backpack, you get a little diagram with suggested uses which allows you to take advantage of how the makers intended you to use the bag. It holds plenty of bottles on the outside pocket and I like how the side pocket has a nice zipper and size to hold a large bag of unopened wipes. I also like the "privacy" (?) zipper that is on the inside of the bag that faces your back. While I don't call it a hidden zipper, it is nice to put important papers or receipts or keys (small keys) in a place that you know is safe and won't fall out (Like when digging in the bag). I can take pulling something out and dropping a cheap toy, but I don't like the idea of digging through the bag, pulling out a diaper and inadvertently pulling out and dropping my wallet. It's nice to have a closed space for important things you can't lose.
Other than that, there isn't much to say. It even comes with a nice diaper pad (I'm always a big fan when those are included in diaper bags). The biggest pro is that it's a good looking bag that has nice style (IMHO).

This bag is great. My wife bought a “girly” diaper bad that looks like a fancy purse so I’m so glad I got this so I can pack my kids things in here. Comes with a changing pad and lots of pockets and storage. Very well made and especially for guys, looks way better than carrying a purse.

This thing is great, from the way it feels, to the size. It's a lot bigger and roomier than expected. It's a lot easier to put together the baby bag these days. Carrying it is easy as it is designed to be worn as a backpack or carried as a simple carry bag. Look out for this mom & dads.
