We absolutely love this game and the updated graphics! Might be too much for children under 17 but that’s just my opinion.

Great fun game with many options for individualization. Pick your power moves, outfits with power up options, and super extended combo chains possible. Great option for single or multiplayer uses. Super high replayability.

A Step Down In Quality, Forced Online Features

After greatly enjoying MK9 and MKX, this entry feels like a step down in quality regarding most aspects. Roster is varied enough and gameplay is fine, but combat overall feels slower and less fluid than previous titles. Gear system makes for cool rewards and customization options, but makes equipping special dlc skins more convoluted than necessary.
Most frustrating of all is the way that basic aspects of the game require an online connection to work. So if the server is temporarily down or your connection is not working, you cannot unlock rewards, earn xp towards your profile, save custom character moves and costumes, or access the krypt.
If I knew all this before and Spawn wasn't a DLC character, I would have skipped this game altogether.

Did not think they could get any better after 10 but this is just superb. The graphics, the story, the characters, the fatalities. NeatherRealm really outdid themselves. If you love beat-em-ups or Mortal Kombat, do yourself a favor and purchase this.

The Story is amazing. It really brings it together. Game play is the best yet and details looks so much more real. the finishing moves and even in game intense attacks are very brutal. I beat the story recently. I actually had to change it to medium difficulty from hard to beat the last boss. She is ridiculous on hard mode. I am going to go back though and beat her on hard. But after countless losses i was losing my mind and had to change the setting. WHich even on medium she was still hard! Overall worth the purchase. So much you can do now also with customizing and just so much life in the game aside from just the story mode! If you are a MK fan, this is a must add to your collection.

Having grown up with the original MK , I am rather blah about this, as I was with 10.. what ever happened to the days when one could pop in a game , pick a character , and just play and fight with friends .
Sure the graphics are top notch as usual , as they were with 10 , but once games start feeling like a job , I lose interest (could be the 8+ years I spent in WoW and Star Wars Galaxies , grinding out professions and classes and materials)
Now ya have to worry about leveling up your gear, and collecting materials for augments in that gear and so on ...
Aside from that the story mode was fun but rather short . If you want a game to just pick up and play with friends , sure there’s a “mode” for that but in order to max out your character , ya need to grind grind and grind some more .. oh yeah and the crypt has something like 600 chests to open , ranging in cost from 1200 coins to 14000 coins (and that’s not even the top end ), and guess how ya get those ... grind some more ...
I sold the game less then a week of buying it

Well.. I think at least. I’m a lightweight when it comes to fighting games. But I love Mortal Kombat so I have to check this one out.
The fighting has everything you want. A great fighting system and a robust roster with the most gruesome fatalities of the series. The tutorial system is very deep and can be a little overwhelming for most.
My only concern is the grind. To unlock things you want out of the crypt system costs a lot of coins. And since it’s random.. well there’s no way to know what you’re unlocking until you unlock it. So be prepared to play a lot of this game.

This is the best Mortal Kombat game I have played. The graphics are so real they are unreal! Story so far has been good. I do wish you could skip some of the story sometimes when you are just trying to get some quick fights in, but I guess thats what the other game play modes are for! If you like fighting games, this is a must!

I’m really enjoying the latest version of one of my all-time favorite games! The visuals are awesome. Classic and newer characters make the game exciting. The gameplay is so familiar, it easy to jump right in! The story modes are entertaining as well. This game met all of my expectations.

I’ve played every iteration of Mortal Kombat since it first hit the arcades back in the 90s (yes even the horrible Sub Zero one on the N64), and this is easily tops all of them as the best they’ve ever done. The story is over the top and stupid but sets it up so newcomers can jump right in without having to know the entire history of the mythos while still having enough Easter eggs to make longtime fans just as happy. The fighting system is deeper than it’s ever been, and the tutorial actually explains it all in ways that make sense to everyone and not just e-sports fanatics. I would have actually lowered the score slightly had Netherealm not fixed the problems with the towers (essentially, the Endgame content) which allows players the currency to buy stuff in the Krypt. But they did and that issue has gone away. Pure, unadulterated fun with lots of blood and guts to go along with it. Just buy it now and enjoy with the rest of us!

I’ve been looking forward to buying MK11 since it came out . Not only was I able to get it but I got it with a $20 discount that was going on at the time . The story is great , the graphics are epic , & the fatalities are gruesome . 10/10

Mortal Kombat 11 is similar to Mortal Kombat 10, but offers very little new. The game's graphics are vastly improved from the previous one, the Krypt is an interesting take by being third person view this time, character customization adds a new element to the game, and lots of unlockable costumes and gear. On the other hand, the gameplay is nearly identical to Mortal Kombat 10, the story line is boring and no where near as good as Mortal Kombat 9 or even MK 10, costumes for female characters look mostly the same with slightly different costume colors, x-rays are replaced with fatal blow (only able to do this when low on health instead of filling up a meter as in the MK10), the range for the uppercut is greatly reduced, new characters do not seem interesting as the ones in Mortal Kombat 10, need to unlock maskless option for popular characters (Kitana, Jade, Scorpion, Sub Zero, etc.) which takes forever, and intros are more limited and not interesting as in Mortal Kombat 10.
Overall, purchase this game if you really like Mortal Kombat, but for someone new to the series. I suggest purchasing Mortal Kombat 10 because it is less expensive and overall better in terms of storyline and gameplay.
