I bought this pc for my son, I had not seen the reviews of this pc, if not others and when I went to the store they did not have the one I wanted so they offered me this and I decided to give it the opportunity, I got to my house I took it out of the box, perform all the installations and before turning it on I do a last review to my surprise it does not have the switch that gives way to the current to power the pc, well let's do the test with the power button that it brings in the upper part and well nothing there is no current, then I looked for the best buy reviews to my surprise I am not the only one with the problem. I do not understand how best buy after seeing all these bad reviews I have not put a staff to review these PCs to avoid this type of problems and more than do nothing, tomorrow I am going to go to the store to change this PC for another

I originally ordered one and it came with a faulty gpu so it would not connect to my monitor so I sent it in and waited another two weeks and then they sent me another one and it also has the same problem so I’m over this computer already

i got this thing and like countless others it was an expensive doorstop when i got it home. no power and no i/o switch people were meantioning. then i looked at the best buy pictures and could easily see a switch right above the plug. sounds to me like there is terrible quality control at msi making sure to put the right psu with a switch in. if you buy this computer DO NOT LEAVE THE store until you open it up and check for a switch. if no i/o switch then immediately return it.
picture on left is how my unit looks. picture on right is what best buy says it should look like.

Very nice PC for the money. Name brand products and the graphics card even has a nice back plate on it. Would be easy to upgrade in the future as well. Easy 100+ FPS on high settings, 1080p with Warzone.

Bought one DOA because i shipped it instead of store pickup. Got a new best buy shipped PC not a single problem. Not a bad option at all for the price and runs games at very good fps. I would recommend it to an entry level pc gamer any day.

This is a really good pc for the price too. I get 200-300 FPS on any first person shooter. Keep in mind I don’t have my system overclocked but you can overclock the system if you want or let the software automatically do it. Even though it only come with 512 gb of storage. It has 2 HDD drive bays so you can easily add storage too it. (Btw the sata plugin on the motherboard is slightly above the gpu, it’s a bit hidden but you’ll find it.) If your looking for a pc buy this because it’s a good pick.

The entire pc was DOA. I assumed this was because of the horrible power supply, so I switched it out with my 650w modular power supply, and it still wouldn’t power on. So now I am guessing the motherboard is completely fried for some reason, so I ordered a new motherboard. Also, the CPU almost fell out when I flipped the case 90 degrees upright, even though the CPU was locked to the motherboard. Overall, very unsatisfied with this product and Best Buy should not be selling this.

I purchased this PC from BestBuy on May 13th 2021, after reading the review I expected that MSI had fixed their Power supply issue, but I had one ready to swap out just in case they hadnt.
Got the PC home and sure enough like many other reviews it would not turn on, I pulled the 24 pin motherboard connector and did a quick test, sure enough the PC had power to the 24 pin, so it wasnt the Power Supply that was the no boot issue, next I turned my attention to the CPU, I removed the Air Cooler (Be careful wheen you do this as my CPU was stuck to the plate of the cooler, this could easily have fallen off and bent some pins) luckily it didnt and I was able to seperate the CPU from the cooler without issue, re-seated the CPU, applied just the right amount of thermal paste and re-installed the cooler, after doing this the PC booted up just fine.
The issue is not the Power Supply its the Air Cooler straining the CPU in the socket during shipping, if you are a bit tech savvy, youll be able to fix the PC no problem.
Other things:
The included mouse was dead out of the box.
The included keyboard is not great, but it will get you by.
There is no motherboard manual included, I installed an NVME drive and the PC would not post to Windows, after further investigation it seems with the cost cutting measures on this board ALL the SATA slots are disbled if you install an NVME drive. if the manual was included I could have read it and been aware of this before installing the NVME drive, in my experience usually 2 SATA ports are disabled after installing NVME not all of them.
Power supply is 550w, non modular and made by DELTA a brand that I havnt heard of, the Power Supply should be OK, but i`m going to change mine out for a known brand, I prefer EVGA Power Supplies, in the future, i`ll probably be changing out the Air Cooler and the motherboard for better components.
In light of the current Graphics card shortage this is a decent buy after fixing it, I would only reccemend this PC for anyone that has any PC building knowledge if not you will most likely be returning it.

“ I fixed it.” Once it’s working, it’s good. So, like everyone else, this one was “DOA”. Good as a door stop. I started by replacing the power supply, one with a switch. Used EVGA 600 watt. Didn’t solve the problem. Switched the RAM. Still nothing. Removed and then, reinstalled the CPU. “The lights came on!” It’s working good now. The 5600XT GPU is working great. By going through this process, I was able to check all connections. I believe the connector to the SSD was also not in all the way. It’s under the back panel. The main cause of being dead for this computer is the CPU. Shipping must be super rough. The CPU has that big radiator hanging on top of it and if it gets banged around it probably twists the CPU out of place and then, “dead” computer. If you have the know how, it can be fixed. I mine with mine. Pun intended.

Got this after a terrible experience of having an open-box HP Omen, and so far so good. I read a lot of the earlier reviews and saw all of the DOA reviews and I wouldn't disagree with them. I replaced the PSU before even turning turning it on with with a Corsair Rm 650x as it had a Delta 550W 80+ bronze which is a terrible PSU and something you shouldn't have in a gaming rig that needs efficient power distribution. Once replaces the system works great and run most games on Ultra setting at 60 fps (my display is only 60 fps so have vsync on religiously). Memory is kind of small so upgrading is a must, 500 gb is enough to hold maybe 3 current gen games. Also looks like upgrading to newer and better components (when they're affordable again) should be easy with this motherboard a lot of room for extra's. Overall pretty happy with it but I would suggest changing the PSU if you have the know how. Also the RGB in the fans are pretty sweet

I’m only reviewing this to help people out on the DOA problem mine was DOA the processor worked loose during shipping had to reseat the processor to get it to power on you will need thermal paste and when I turned it on al light will turn on and no display had to move both ram sticks to 1 channel (slots 1 and 2) they come in 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 I can’t remember. Hope this can help some of you with this problem . BEST BUY WILL NOT ACCEPT RETURN AFTER YOU OPEN CASE!!! MSI DOESNT CARE AND WILL WARRANTY IT! And has great customer support.

Great system, heck of a deal for this unit considering the price of GPUs right now. I didn’t have a problem with the power supply as others did. I think they got that issue figured out. I use it for gaming and streaming simultaneously and never a hiccup even on ultra settings with the games I play. Cable management isn’t even that bad (all black cables). Tower cooler works great too!

I like it, it's upgradable, and not too bad. I mean every PC is different when you buy a prebuilt. I would be careful when upgrading tho, it can be hard to dial in if you do not know what you are doing.

it didn’t even turn on when i got the computer.
i was thrilled to get the computer to finally switch from a casual pc to a pc with better specs for streaming and this pre-built had the perfect spec to price ratio but i was sadly greeted with a pc that lights up and doesn’t connect.

Horrible the specs are great if it worked. Received the item and it was defective half the lights worked no boot. Returned and got another that did nothing missing screws in mother board fans unhooked cpu cooler hanging sideways. Customer service was a nightmare language barrier and almost no help nearly 30 hours on the phones across 3 weeks and 2 returns
