As a result of accidently resetting my B350 board's BIOS using a Gigabyte utility tool, my R5 2600 did not post. I bit the bullet and decided to upgrade instead of reflashing the bios immediately. Ended up buying an R5 3600 and this MSI board.
I wanted a "lower" end budget board as I am not that into overclocking or fancy features the more expensive boards supplied.
Installing it into the case was easy, everything fit nicely, only thing I wasn't used to was the RAM clips opening only on one side.
Four of the onboard fan slots were lined up at the bottom, whereas the two CPU/PUMP fans were at the top near the RAM. The motherboard comes with a DVD for drivers as well as two M.2 screws.
Now here's where I had a problem. Plugging in the board and booting it up it started right up, but since I decided to follow instructions, I downloaded the BIOS/Chipset drivers from the DVD, in my case this was a mistake as it was an outdated driver and DISABLED my ethernet port. Moved my RAM, cleared my cmos, tried to install realtek drivers via a usb but the network controller WOULD NOT BE FOUND. This led me to think of the BIOS as a last result due to a google search where someone had this problem on a B450 board. Went to the official page, downloaded the more recent version of the BIOS onto the flash drive and flashed it onto my PC. Ethernet was back and it's running smoothly. I do not know if this will happen to anyone else but it happened to me so beware.
My 3200mhz RAM was defaulted to 2400mhz but was able to be put to 3200mhz with a simple xmp profile change.
Other than the BIOS problem, everything else was fine, the BIOS was also easy to navigate and use.
Also, looking at the board I didn't expect there to be any light effects but behind it near the bottom edge there is a light strip.
Tl;DR BIOS on DVD was outdated and did not have ethernet, had to flash updated BIOS from a USB drive. Everything else was fine.

This board lacks sufficient power distribution for mid and high range Ryzen chips. 8 Phase power + 2.

MPG by MSI has been a better card than exspected. It gave me features i did not know about. Like, I didn't know what x570 ment i only knew it was new design. I later realised I could use 4.0 PCI-E based NVME hard drives and get fast 5gb/s read write speeds. It's also full with usb's. 7.1 surround, 2 GPU slots, 4 ram slots. Really stoked at this price , Recently tied a 3070ti into it and updated bios , ez ez ez. Fast as a roadrunner and brought the future stuff to me also. 0 problems. 0

I was building a PC on a budget and a big aspect of my build was using a 3rd generation AMD CPU. This CPU can use both the B450 and X570 chipset and I was really leaning on buying the B450 but when I saw this motherboard, I jumped back into the X570 lane. This motherboard was cheap, it worked well and it has a lot of hidden features that you expect in a much more pricey motherboard, started with the heatsinks they dissipates heat really effectively, you can throw as much heat in this board as you can and it adequately handles it. The build quality is superb and the 4th generation PCI slots are nice, the fact that this board has two M.2 slots and not just one really sold me to buy. Now a board of this price comes with some downsides. Starting with the amount of USB 2.0 headers, there are only two. This limits the number of RGB/Bluetooth extras that you can install, so when planning your build account for those limitations. Overall this board exceeded my expectations and MSI did a solid job with this board.

Not for 105-watt AMD CPUs

If you are planning to buy this mobo for a 65-watt CPU, fine... Avoid this if you are planning to buy this motherboard for any 105-watt AMD CPU (3800x/3900x/3950x). The power supply design cannot supply the current required for those CPUs. The voltage regulators will overheat, hitting 100-120 degrees C. When this happens, t he board will throttle the CPU speed down until the VRs cool down. When the VR temps rise again, the process will repeat itself.
MSi really screwed up the board design on all of the MPG lineup of X570 motherboards. All of them have terrible VR designs causing the to overheat. I have one and it really sucks. Better boards will only hit temps of 60-70 degrees.
