the best motherboard in the Z690 series. It has all the M2, UBS 3.2, and RGB lightning that you need. 2nd, the color of the mobo is silver/white vs many other mobo which is mattle or glossy black.

Had some difficulty updating the bios, but I managed to solve all the issues that came up. I do not regret choosing this motherboard.

This was the first Motyheboasrd I used to build my own PC and it has blown me away, absolutely speechless.

First one I got was already opened. Second one lasted just past the return date. Also the clip for the graphics card broke off with one simple push of the button.

Great board -- very bad DDR 5 shortage makes a great product useless.

If you are looking for a mobos with dual x16 PCI-Express 5.0 slots, there are not a few around - and the ones that are can be really high-end budgeted... This motherboard is slightly lower than those and still offers that, though it is still higher priced than more budget friendly 690 boards... Still - if you absolutely need dual x16 5.0 slots, you can't go wrong with this board.

I recently upgraded from a 9600K to 12700K and as a result, needed a new motherboard. I was originally using the MSI Z390 Meg ACE and had zero issues with it during the last nearly 4 years, so naturally I wanted to look into another MSI board with similar feature set for the current gen. I personally like the alternating silver/black color scheme over the Carbon, which I understand is the same board features wise, just different aesthetics. Additionally, the thermal pads for all of the m.2 SSDs is great, and you get access to 5 slots if you so choose to leverage them all. The only thing I could really ding it for is the number of USB 2.0 ports and the 2.5Gig LAN, I would have liked to see more 3.2 ports and 5GB LAN, but that is some of the tradeoff at this price point. Additionally, my previous board at this price range had CMOS Clear AND a BIOS Flash button -- here you're only getting the BIOS flash. Not a dealbreaker, but useful QOL features. Otherwise a great, stable board with zero issues so far, with lots of features.

Gorgeous and super reliable motherboard, definitely worth the money and works with ddr5 just be careful installing the cpu, the metal lever is SUPER spring loaded so have a good grip on it
