Great Coverage

We could be looking at a possible connectivity issue that affects the overall performance of your Nest Wifi. You may need to restart your modem, even if your modem appears to be working fine, to establish a secure connection to the Wi-Fi point. Wi-Fi signal and connectivity will still depend on other factors like interference, multiple devices using both bandwidths on your router and the older Wi-Fi chips on your devices that might not be able to support these speeds. If you're using a modem/router combo, set it in bridge mode and disable its Wi-Fi functionality to avoid double NAT issues.

Can almost get my 300mbps. I like the app too. A little more than I wanted to pay but all the mesh systems are.

I’m amazed how it works really good. I have high interest speed all the time...

Router is in the basement and always struggled with spotty internet service on the top level until this was set up. Easy setup! A tad expensive but totally worth it!

We got these and placed them around and now we have wifi everywhere.

My office Wifi went from 1 bar to 5 bars immediately. The other unit easily reaches the opposite end of the house.

I have several Nest products and setup is always very simple. Had to try a few times to get it to work. Once running it’s way better than the last model.

Google Mesh setup solved the problem and provides max speed coverage throughout the house.

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well what can I say about the google mesh router… I guess I went in thinking it would be so much faster than my 10 year old linksys router, but in reality it’s runs the same speed. It was easier to set up because it’s all done through a google home app, Which is nice. However they do get kicked offline if you have a furnished basement with any kind of cement around it. So it doesn’t travel through the floor very well. Overall it’s just OK. It works, but it’s a bit expensive for the same speed and result as a 10 year old linksys router.

Nest Wifi Router is capable of 400 Mbps @ 2.4GHz and 1733 Mbps at @ 5GHz while Nest Wifi Points can reach 400 Mbps @2.4GHz and 866 Mbps @5GHz speeds. These Wi-Fi speeds will still depend on other factors like interference, multiple devices using both bandwidths on your router and the older Wi-Fi chips on your devices that might not be able to support these speeds.
You can also try these simple steps that may help:
- Move the connected device closer to your Wi-Fi router or point.
- Make sure all unused devices are off and not draining bandwidth with large downloads.
- Check for possible sources of interference such as microwave ovens, refrigerators or other equipment.
- Try to move your router or point to a more open or unobstructed location and your router or points closer to each other.
- Restart your network.
- Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to confirm your service is working properly.

I've never used one before, but so far I'm HIGHLY impressed coming from my old ASUS router - which 5 years ago was top of the line, costing over $300. I finally have Wifi all OVER my house - garage, basement, bedrooms, back yard.... yes back yard... very easy to "pause"' devices or groups. when kids don't want to listen! (works for hard wired or wireless devices). Best of all the child doesn't complain about our "horrible internet" now when he's playing Playstation in the room on the OTHER SIDE of the house from the router!

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Gave these a shot because my current router/firewall/WAP is getting long in the tooth, doesnt cover a couple of spots very well and doesnt support WPA3. The devices were cumbersome to set up through the Google Home app and the configuration options are limited. Coverage was good and the mesh works well. What didnt work, however, was the PPPOE WAN configuration with CenturyLink fiber as it doesnt support vLAN tagging, so you have to double NAT which creates an administrative burden and doesnt allow ditching the old router.

Using a Google Home app provides you with a lot of benefits including access to Google's trusted security platform and access to other Google tools. Also, it provides you with seamless integration with your other Google devices. The Google Home was introduced to better integrate Nest devices with the Google ecosystem. This means you get a simpler interface and a simpler way to connect all your devices into a single environment.
If your Nest Wifi doesn’t cover some spot very well, we suggest these simple steps that might help:
- Move the connected device closer to your Wifi router or point.

- Make sure all unused devices are off and not draining bandwidth with large downloads.

I'm not a fan of over complicated wifi setup procedures but this product did not disappoint and was up and running in a few minutes.
