I regret purchasing this new router as an "upgrade". Old router was working just fine with rare (2x year?) Wifi outages. With this new router we're 2 weeks in and suddenly experiencing nearly daily wifi and ethernet drops. The router will fix itself after about 10 minutes if we don't want to bother with resetting the power strip. Lousy. Do better Google. This is a common unresolved issue. Their "help" forum is below. Fair at best. Just over 5000 sf of new construction. Google says a router and 2 points will cover this space. I've got two routers and three points set up as one network (one router acting as a point). Two points continually drop and one room gets about a 25% signal. Each point needs to be close to the router or it all works poorly! I was under the impression that the points could connect to one another the way Orbi satellites do. Nope. My three year old Orbi with a router and 2 satellites works better.

Bought the 3 pack for a 2,000 square foot home, haven’t been able to get internet in garage and on patio. Was able to when I used the local cable company’s router. Still working on placement to try to get better results.

This is not for someone looking for advanced configuration options. Setup is entirely app based with no gateway portal option. Has average wifi speeds in a large home.

Worked great for 2.5 years and now it's starting to fail. I've been having to restart the system 2 to 3 times a day now to keep internet up and running.

So far the router has been great but the mesh point is producing a much slow speed and constantly lags. Called google support and they modified some of the parameters and it helped but not what I expected.

**DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE SMART LIGHTS AND ARE IN OUTAGES OFTEN** Google Nest is pretty good, but if your internet goes out, not only can you not use voice commands (which is understandable), you can't control ANY smart device on your network because the Google Nest requires an internet connection to even handle local connections. Every time we lose internet, we can no longer control our smart lights through the its app as, even though the wifi is still being broadcast, the Nest system doesn't know how to handle the internal traffic.

This "mesh" system is only dual-band and will work for none high-end data transfer speeds. I noticed the system kept putting me on 2.4GHz even if I was super close to a point and or router. 1 room over. Nest wifi does not allow you to prioritize networks. It picks 2.4GHz or 5GHz for you. Which turns out is pretty broken. Honestly, for the price, I returned the Nest Wifi and purchased the Netgear AX6600 router and it blows this mesh system out of the water. I now have 5GHz in my entire house and the range is even further and stronger than the mesh.

The product itself is fine, however, online purchase through BestBuy is quite disappointing! This is my second online order that had to be delayed for more than a week due to reliance on lazy USPS.

Great product! However, if you have Ring Cameras they do not work on this system, as they require 2.4ghz connection, and the Google Mesh system works to find the strongest internet speed.

Nest wifi did not help as much as I expected. It was costly, and hard to set up. I had to look up articles on youtube to get it to connect. I would not recommend it.

My home is 2500 SF and the signal at the opposite end of the house (from the router) drops out a ton. I barely watch TV because it's always buffering. For the price I paid and that this is mesh, I expected more.

The unit I got performs very poorly. 1. Dropping network frequently, forced to restart router/points. 2. Not working as a True mesh router. when device move within the house, doesn't automatically retain network connection, forced to turn off/turn on wifi and reconnect. this frequently happen to multiple apple and android devices in my home, which was not the case with my earlier mesh router. 3. Range: coverage drops too quickly even straight line, without walls.

I haven’t even had this 2 years and I’m already having issues with them staying connected. Not worth the money!

The promised network help wasn't quite right. Maybe in a future update it will provide a more reliable connection to home automation devices, but so far no dice. Finicky programming too. One day it is shuffling YouTube Music as programmed, the next day the same routine defines the meaning of the word "shuffle". I must reiterate, the same, completely unchanged routine would make different choices from one day to the next. Product needs work.

I was expecting a lot better performance. We have a large house with high ceilings. Router is upstairs. We have 4 points throughout the house. Couldnt maintain connection. We returned it

Returned the product, I did not feel it improved my connectivity and most certainly there are better options for less than this product.

Easy to setup but not the best performance. Also, my wifi point just stopped responding and there's no way to reset it. Luckily I have the warranty.

A rate this device a complete disappointment. I bought this system hoping to use with a new Fios installation. I spent probably 4 hours with a very patient support team at Google only to learn a number of fatal flaws. First of all, the speed of the network slows each time you add a mesh point. I can't believe that Google sells a product that works this way. Seems to be a very common problem, based on my discussion with their team. Second, normal devices that may sit next to a router, like a TV speaker can cause interference and slow the router. However, the nail in the coffin was the gated speed. The Fios router that I eventually rented gives me wifi speeds of 500 up/500 down. Google Nest wifi would maybe give me 300 down and less than 200 up. The direct connection on the Fios router gives 900/900 speeds. I struggled with Google to get more than 700-800 down and 300 down plugged. This totally defeated my reason for getting Fios. Oh, but the mesh points will actually listen to you and give you facts from Internet. I DIDN'T ASK FOR THAT. I WANTED A ROUTER THAT PROVIDES FAST SPEEDS. Unfortunately, it took me more than a month between buying the router and connecting to Fios to figure all of this out. So, I can't return to Best Buy. Oh, but can I return to Google? Yes, but the insist on me monitoring my network for at least a day while I work. And only then will they provide me with an identical router. If anyone reading this wants a barely used Google Nest Wifi router, please check eBay. I will be holding an auction in the next few days for anyone who wants a wifi router that slows their connection.

Worst wifi system I've ever tried to setup. The secondary mesh point wouldn't connect to the main hub a single floor directly above it. We moved it closer to the main point and it never found the mesh spot again. Never got the mesh system working after 30 minutes. Did a factory reset and the main point was never found again. This product is laughably bad. The Google Home app is terrible too. Hey, covid, so no support either. Thanks for nothing google.
