    I couldn't get it to work with Fios. I called both companies and ended up returning the product.

    5g / 2.4g Wi-Fi is not identifiable-, satellite depreciated speeds versus router only.

      Thanks for letting us know of the frequency band issue with your Nest Wifi. Sorry to hear you're experiencing slow Wi-Fi speeds with Nest Wifi points.

      Nest Wifi uses the Band Steering feature to guide your connected devices based on your their capabilities, and attempt to select the band that will deliver the best performance. Nest Wifi mesh system uses the same network name (SSID) for both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands which may be the reason you couldn't identify them. Nest Wifi uses the Band Steering feature to guide your connected devices based on your their capabilities. Both radio bands are active simultaneously and Nest Wifi keeps it simple by automatically choosing the band that gives the best Wi-Fi connection.

      If Nest Wifi points are placed further than 2 rooms away from Nest Wifi router, the signal strength will be less than what you can receive from the router.     Returned it and got the best option out there which is the Eero. Much better than the nest wifi .

    we installed the mesh router and an additional point which should be more than enough coverage for our house. we have fiber coming in. there was no real improvement in coverage/speed/performance seen from our previous router. It was very easy to set up.

      Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that Nest Wifi didn't meet your expectations.

      Some factors like thick walls, mirrors, windows, and even signals from other wireless devices may cause interference that will shorten the distance Nest Wifi router can cover.

      If you are using a modem/router combo, you need to set it in bridge mode, or disable its Wi-Fi functionality in order to set up Nest Wifi router as your primary router. You can also try to restart your network to observe if the speed will improve.

    Disappointing

    Based on reviews, I thought I was getting an answer to my Wi-Fi dead spots but the speeds were much slower than what I was using (120-170mb vs 300-400). Unfortunately, even areas further away were slower or non-existent with the Nest. Guess it’s back to the drawing board.

    Still Buffering Like Crazy

    We are currently thinking about returning the system. We are experiencing more buffering than before installing the system. The tech took two days to call me back after the initial install and did not seem to knowledgeable other than how to setup a basic system install.

    Serious software glitch

    I would usually say nest products r great but they have a serious software glitch with the new and old causing packet loss and node disconnection daily. I tried for week to get this system stable. I gave up bought a eero pro system problem solved in 20 minutes I wasted so much time. Most of my coustomers r forced into daily restarts and disconnection since the update in March I would not purchase this product till the company get their act together

    Don't buy - Major Connection Issues

    After using this item for about 2 months, we kept having connection issues. I had to continuously reset the network, and even a factory reset didn't fix the issue. The signal strength was horrible, and many of our devices didn't stay connected to it. I ended up buying a router that works exponentially better than this, and it was $100 less. Spending $300 on this item and not having it work is annoying, but it happened a couple months after buying it so I can't return it either. Don't purchase this item or you might as well take your money and flush it down an actual toilet because at least you know what the end result of that would be.

    Did not work with my ISP..

    Actual star rating in not totally for the Google mesh. It did not work with my ISP ( Centurylink) modem /router. Had The Geek squad here 3 times and a Centurylink tech twice, even replaced the modem. Kept losing internet service. Returned items.

    Terrible connection issues

    Router has been bad since day one but I didn’t realize it until troubleshooting many other things in my house. I assumed “This is brand new and has new tech in it, it has to be other things.” Nope, it’s the router. Every single device in my house will connect, disconnect, reconnect, disconnect and so forth. When you’re connected for a little while, you’ll just loose data for no reason. I have factory reset it 4 or 5 times, spoke to online chat and phone support from google and they’re no help. They just continue to try resetting things. When I asked for a new one to be sent in exchange, they wouldn’t do it. Now it’s too late to return to Best Buy. Avoid this router at all cost. It’s old tech and you seriously won’t know if it will work or not with your devices. Search for Google Nest WiFi connection issues and you’ll see countless threads saying everything I’m typing here.

    Works but...slows internet speed

    Mesh physically works. Shows speeds over 100mb but not reflected on devices. On Nvidia shield, will barely connect to YouTube, Hulu (kept kicking me out) and even Netflix (which almost works with zero internet). Noted much slower connections on iPhones as well. But....the pods connect to each Other very well.

      We appreciate sharing your feedback to let us know about the connection issue while using your Nest Wifi mesh. It is great to hear that Nest Wifi points connect to each other well. but we'd love help you with the connection issue with the connected services and devices.

      We suggest performing the following steps to see if they can help improve the issue:
      - Make sure there aren't any special characters or spaces in the Service Set Identifier (SSID) or password.
      - If your modem is a modem/router combo, we recommend disabling its Wi-Fi functionality to avoid a Double NAT. Double NAT is a case where both Nest Wifi router and your combo broadcast their own private networks which can cause connectivity issues.
      - Perform a 5-minute power cycle by disconnecting power from modem. Then, disconnect Ethernet cable and power from your parent point. If there are child points, disconnect power too. Leave them all unplugged for five minutes. After 5 mins, connect power to modem and allow the modem to power on fully before proceeding. This can take up to two minutes. Once all light indicators are solid, you can connect Ethernet cable and power to your parent point. Wait until it’s fully - If the power cycle didn't work, perform a Factory Reset then re-setup.

    Google has a known issue that causes WiFi to cut

    Bought this April 1 and it worked great initially. Then all of a sudden our connection would drop every 5 to 10 minutes. I blamed our ISP but they did all the necessary tests and said they were having no issue. After contacting Google multiple times (5 in fact) they admitted they have a known issue with this system where the router silently reboots itself every 5-10 minutes. DO NOT ORDER THIS

    I would give it a -5 if I could..this is the worst setup I have ever used. the three accesses points would not connect. every time it would give me an error occurred message. and never worked. I will never buy another google device again.

    Good for basic connections only.

    Purchased this combo plus 3 additional points to extend my network. App is great however the inconsistency of the connection relays drove my gadgets crazy. I have over 20 nest products in my home and consistently had intermittent connection with Spectrum 1GB. Ended up switching to Eero and the issues were resolved.
