    Honestly I love how interactive the app is for google WiFi, however the connection for it is horrible. We have 1000mb/s and we simply cannot maintain a solid connection to the WiFi anywhere in our home. Our devices say that it’s a strong connection but it gets dropped all the time , we cannot airplay to devices because it times out, there are times where our speeds are just horrible. We first experienced this fifth the first gen google WiFi but I assumed that the newer version (this one) would be better. In the 1400 sqft home we previously lived in , the router provided to us from the company was way better than the 3 pack google WiFi that we had. I’d definitely recommend other options for WiFi. This just doesn’t cut it as far as reliability.

      - Disconnect power from all of your network devices, including your modem and any Nest Wifi devices.
      - Reconnect power to your modem only.
      - Reconnect power to your Nest Wifi router or primary Nest Wifi point and wait until it's fully on.
      - If you continue to have connection issues, you can reset your Nest Wifi devices and set it up again

    A LOT OF BUG NEED TO FIXED. AND YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITH IT, JUST TO WAIT.

    So disappointed, really wanted to love this because of all the features. This thing does not keep your devices connected to wifi, it’s constantly dropping different devices. It claims to be able to have several devices connected at once but it really couldn’t handle more than 5-10 at a time. I spent countless hours chatting with google support to change settings on the device itself as well as other devices connected to it but nothing worked and now it’s too late to return it. I have a one story 1500sq ft home and have about 15 devices, this should have been able to easily handle coverage in this space if it would just stop dropping devices. Ended up with a tp-link WiFi 6 router and wish I would’ve gone that route from the beginning. Don’t waste your time or money on google!!

    Setup was easy, but trying to add to existing google home devices, caused issues. The setup wizard didn't even recognize its own QR code on the bottom of the device? After having to reset the entire system multiple times, deleting my google home account, and try to this up as new, I ended up with the brilliant message, "Your Google Home was setup successfully but can't be found...." How is this even possible. Who writes these error codes? After more than 12 hours of headaches trying to get this to work, it was returned, never to be used again. Google seems to have spent most of their time trying to make something that looks futuristic instead of something that just works. My advice to google would be to ask Alexa. This is only for the most basic and new google home users.

    Great in theory, breaks down quickly

    The Google assistant + speaker stuff is cool, but this, along with other Google Wifi products I've tried, have severe buffer bloat during high intensity use + do not get me the speeds I've gotten advertised. A lot of people are complaining about this. Hope google fixes it.

    Constant signal drops

    I seem to be one of the few dissenting voices but my experience has been expensive and miserable. I can say without exaggeration that the signal drops a minimum of 20-30 times a day. Twice an hour is normal and it usually lasts for about two minutes at a time. I bought the system in April and rather than go through the hassle of returning it I doubled down and now I've got a $350 system that drops its connection like that's the sole function it was designed to perform. So that's on me and now I'm shopping for a traditional router. Avoid this thing like it's radioactive. You'd rather have polio than this steaming disaster.

    Wrong setting was done by first person. We were in trouble next morning stopped working. Person did not pick up phone. We ended up switching to old system. I did resetting with another modem next day myself with help of my internet provider

    wifi continues to cut out & doesn’t automatically connect. do not buy. it won’t stop cutting out every time i get near the router. It’s extremely frustrating especially because it’s not cheap & nearly $400

    For the first year, this wasn't a bad system. However, you can't change from DHCP to PPPoE or vice versa without doing a factory reset, and the factory reset doesn't always do the trick. After a year of use, I was having to restart the entire system every few days to keep it operational, and Google support is useless. Even for known issues that are several years old they pretend like your the first person to have this issue. I've been hoping Google would release some patches to fix some of the issues, but I'm now convinced they just don't care about their products or customers.

    This new google WiFi system is trash when compared to the last version. The “points” do not have Ethernet. This is more a smart speaker with WiFi than a good, useful router.

    Difficult to set up

    Had an extremely hard time trying to set up. Finally returned it because they could not help me get it set up after an hour in the phone. The exchanged it and I had the same problem. I finally threw it in the closet and went to the local Office Max and bought a netgear 64 nighthawk.

    I'm a google fan, but this system its really slow, and nest will go down a lot, I don't think its robust like they say they are. Lets see if another year they came fix all those little problems and I will try again.

      Hi Wiston, thanks for being an amazing advocate of Google Nest products. We do apologize for the slow performance with Nest Wifi.

      It's important to check if you are using a modem/router combo, we recommend setting it up in bridge mode and disabling its Wi-Fi functionality. This will avoid any network issues caused by both your combo and Nest Wifi Router, broadcasting the same SSID and password. You may then connect your primary Nest Wifi Router to your modem using an Ethernet cable, and then connect your secondary Nest Wifi Points to your primary Nest Wifi Router wirelessly.

      Wi-Fi signal strength may also be affected by Wi-Fi interference like physical barriers which may cause the limited ranges and slower connection to the Internet. As a general rule, Wifi Points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other.

    Do NOT waste your money

    Absolute garbage after 6 months. If you buy this system get ready to love it for 5 months and then it will just crap out on you... Then you get to spend hours and hours, days after days on the phone with customer support who will tell you the diagnostics look fine on their end. I decided to look up trouble shooting on my own and discovered the Google Nest Community for their Wifi-Please read the complaints there before you waste your money on this product! I am not the only one with the exact same issue... I have never dealt with such horrible customer service in my life!
