With everyone at home calling into meetings and classes all day, we needed to get everyone spread across the house to avoid distractions and interruptions. My kids' Chromebooks were getting a "poor" WiFi signal from their bedrooms and one in particular would be disconnected from his classes regularly. So it was time for me to look into improving our WiFi network. I could have looked into simple extenders, but the idea of mesh was compelling to me. The setup was easy and all my devices around the house connected to the new network seamlessly. Through the Google Home app I seem to have the ability to control the features that I'm used to with my previous WiFi router. It was also nice to be able to create groups of devices to easily "pause" network access and easy to grant my husband access to manage through Google Home as well. So either of us can cut the kids off as needed.

Needed this to provide a wifi signal to a backroom outside. The set-up was so simple and easier than other brands I've tried. The signal in my office is jus has strong as it would be standing next to the router. A little more money but absolutely worth it.

While I still prefer the first generation, the addition of the Google Assistant to the remotes is pretty good. Draw back - no Ethernet ports on the remotes. Gotcha - small QR code without the numerical code to manually enter and have a little patience.

I really liked the first version of these routers so when we moved into a bigger house, I was really excited to add these to our setup… Unfortunately, they are really lacking on features and the setup was an absolute pain because the software was too simple. When something went wrong, it showed no errors or trouble shooting, you just had to start all over. Plus, they are NOT compatible with the old ones, so you have to buy an entirely new set, and the access points don’t have an Ethernet plug for your wired machines, so you’re forced to buy all routers if you need a port. After much frustration and headache, I returned all of these and bought a gaming router which turned out to be a much simpler setup.

It improved the Wifi coverage in my home as I hoped it would. I also like the voice commands for selecting music with google. There were a few more steps in the set up process than I anticipated based on the video I looked at but the bottom line is it works fine.

Google - Nest Wifi AC2200 Mesh System works well for multi-level homes. Has some issues working out of the box with Fiber optic network ISPs despite being marketed as plug and play. You'll need to change the modem configuration settings to make it work but once settings are fixed its a good solution

5 bars everywhere in the house (2200 sq ft) and 4 outside and in the garage is better than the last mesh system I had. Easy to set up and all of the IOT things found it with the same SSID and passwords. If only comcrap wasn't so flakey here.

Had the first version of these (the "hockey puck"). These integrate great with the older versions, are easy to install, and provide great coverage. Plus, the each wifi point has a built in Google assist so you'll have it throughout your house. Highly recommend them!!

Absolute garbage. Worked for 13 months. I got cameras, thermostats, assistants, spent around $1300 on associated google home products. Now it suddenly cut out. I tried everything, google support, thankfully Best Buy said they would help and replace it (I have an appointment tomorrow so will report back if their solution actually works out) My advice is to stay away from google. Terrible support, overpriced garbage products

The product helped keep signals strong throughout a three story house with basement, problem was that the issue I had purchased these for fell on Comcast thus rendering the process as an excess in purchase and not necessary. Will hope to make this purchase again when reviewing my WiFi issues in the future.

Was a bit confusing to set up since I had the older version of the wifi pucks but once I found out how to reset the old pucks I was able to use the newer version to get faster speeds extended throughout my home. I would recommend these if your looking at extending your wifi.

The Nest Wi-Fi was easy to set up and it was easy to connect to my Google Wi-Fi that I already had in my home. The Nest has more range than the Google Wi-Fi so I made it the primary Wi-Fi router and connected Google Wi-Fi to it.

Works much better than my Netgear AC1600 (plus extension) for my 2-story 2000 sq ft house. When my college student moved back home, the Netgear could not keep up with online classes and me working from home. This works great, and no complaints.

Great alternative to the $3k house rewiring and it has really helped boost the WiFi signal. Easy set up and configuration and though I've turned Alexa off and don't use it a lot, I do like being able to stream music to the pod in our living room.

I would have to say these have been a little disappointing. I purchased the bid pack to cover all areas of my house. I have one unit per floor but they always have a weak signal according to the app and they can run slow at times. I have reset them several time which seems to help but I should not have to do that. I am going to play around to figure out how to get better signal but did not expect these results. The google assist is very good but I hope it is not taking away for their main purpose and that is wifi coverage in my house that is about 2600 sq ft. I also don't like that you can only give priority service to devices for 8 hr at a time. I am a tv streamer and I want my TV to have priority over all other devices but I can only do it for 8 hrs at a time. I would not recommend these at this moment. Maybe I need to adjust them to optimize.

Hi ryancleve2, we appreciate you for sharing the details of your experience with using the Nest Wifi. We’re sorry to learn that they always have weak signals and run slow at times, and that you can only set a priority device for 8 hours at a time.

The placements of your Wi-Fi router and points are vital to have reliable Wi-Fi throughout your home. As a general rule, points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other. For example, if the far end of your house has weak Wi-Fi, don’t put a Wifi point in that exact spot. Instead, put it part way in that direction. Try to place it in an elevated position like on a shelf.

It may be helpful to try the following steps to see if the Wi-Fi performance will improve:
      - Move the connected device closer to your Wifi router or point.
      - Repositioning the points to avoid obstructions like walls, doors, and aquariums can improve performance.
      - Make sure all unused devices are off and not draining bandwidth with large downloads.
      - Check for possible sources of interference such as microwave ovens, refrigerators or other equipment.
      - Run a mesh test to confirm placement of your Wifi points.

We’re taking your feedback about setting a priority device to help us improve our products and services. And if additional help is still needed, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp Nest

The Google nest wifi was a great investment for me. I bought it to boost my internet and that is exactly what it did. Added bonus is that the point acts as a bluetooth speaker and information device. I will definitely be adding extra points throughout the house.

I wish you could choose the 2.4Ghz vs the 5.0 ghz, But you can’t. Either way, this is awesome. Not only do you have google assistant, but even with a large house, I get excellent WiFi everywhere in the house, and even good coverage outside in the front and back yards.
