The setup was so simple, signal was very strong, speeds were great. The only thing that didn't work for me was that I needed to separate wifi bands with different SSID's. Not possible with Nest WiFi so I had to return it.

First, this is a great mesh wifi router. It's easy to setp and has many nice features, e.g., filtering out adult content for certain devices. Second, the built-in speaker is better than Google home mini's with all the same features plus some, e.g., you can ask it to run an internet speed test.

This was easy to set up... except for connecting my wifi lightbulbs. After Googling it I eventually got them all working, but it was not a straightforward process. However, if you have a simple setup at home (connecting a computer, tv, cell phone, etc.), this is a really great option.

Great routers, but overall not as speedy as my eero system. I would say these are great if you are in the Google ecosystem, but other than that I still feel like there are better choices at this price point, especially with the introduction of the new eero system with WiFi 6

I have been using this for 4-5 months so far and the speeds I have been getting with this are by far better than the standard router. I do not experience any delays in any corner of my rooms upstairs or downstairs. I bought 2 extra points.

Works perfectly to create an evenly covered network in the house. I have a larger house and making sure the signal reaches all rooms/corners is imperative for our family.

This system sets up in minutes allowing excellent wi fi coverage in a large space. It also has Google voice command capability and Alexa compatible. I can say, Hey Google turn the outside lights on with Leviton smart switches for example.

I went into Best Buy wanting a new WiFi. I had read some reviews that google nest was not good at all. The salesperson said that for my house google nest was the best choice. I reluctantly went ahead and purchased it and I have extremely satisfied.

Our service provider gave us a modem/router combo and our wifi speeds were terrible the fastest speed we were able to achieve consistently was 25mb/s while a wired connection was able to achieve 260mb/s. I purchased this system and after setting up via wifi we can now achieve the same speeds as a wired connection wirelessly. I would recommend this if you don't need a modem but your wireless speeds are terrible, to check if your router is limiting your speeds just do a network speed test on a device using wifi and another that is using a wired connection to the modem. If the connection speeds differ greatly then your router is most likely the issue.

Router was easy to set up. The google wifi app has a lot of features that help you monitor the network. You'll want a good network switch if you have more than 1 device that needs to be hard wired, but this router has worked great.

Internet reliability and speed has increased dramatically and I can even work from my back yard now which is awesome given I’ve been working from home for over a year. Just wish I’d have made the investment sooner.

After moving to a larger home we needed a router thst would keep up with our demands. Being able to have two exta points made it perfect, especially since they are also google mini's. They fit in perfect with our other google products.

After upgrading the router from “ TP-Link AC3200 Wireless Wi-Fi Tri-Band Gigabit Router“ bandwidth got increased from 90 Mbps to 110 Mbps using spectrum internet and it is really boosting internet bandwidth using wifi connectivity .. worth buying..

The way my home is set up I only need to use just the main hub right now. It’s the best decision I’ve made no more interruptions, works with other google products, easy to manage 3thumbs up.

These actually work and I set them up myself (72) with just a little bit of help over the phone from my son. Get the ones without the Google-speak. They are so much less expensive.

I have been using a different mesh system for the past couple of years and from day 1, I never felt like it worked correctly. I tried tech support multiple times but it constantly crashed and never had great connectivity. I kept thinking about switching to Google WiFi but it was a few years old so I knew an update had to be just around the corner. Then Nest Wifi was announced and I knew it would be my next router. I had read articles reviewing the Nest WiFi and noticed there was a lot of extra steps if you had a Fios connection for internet. I can tell you from my experience that it is not true. I have an older Coax connection for my Fios TV/Internet bundle and all I did was unplug the old mesh system router and plug in the Nest WiFi router in it's place. No additional steps required. Setup was pretty easy. Just download the Google WiFi app before you start. You'll also need the Google Home app to actually setup the device. Once the router is plugged in and you're in setup on Google Home, just scan the QR code on the bottom of the router and let Google do the work. There was a quick update to download and install but overall installation of the router took me about 5-10min including unplugging the old one, plugging in the new one, letting it start up, installing updates, and programming the SSID and password that I wanted to use. Once the router was set in the basement, I took the Point to the opposite corner of the house, two floors up. Plugged it in to the wall, ran setup on Google Home, and it connected to the router quickly with connection strength of "Great!". It did it's short update, then done. It was really that simple to get this up and running. It's worth noting that the room where I placed the Point, I could barely get a signal in with the old router from the prior mesh system. That's how much stronger the Nest WiFi's signal is. I went through the Google WiFi app to see which devices were connected and noticed any Nest products I had were all labeled with just Nest Labs. You can toggle on the MAC ID's and using the Nest app you can pretty quickly identify which is what and then just edit the label in Google WiFi. Took me probably 10min to correct anything that was mis-labeled or registering as "Unnamed Device". Through the app, you can also setup Family WiFi and Guest WiFi networks to separate traffic and do things like Pause WiFi to certain devices during dinnertime, for example. If you have any Google speakers in your house, you can do this as easily as saying "Hey Google, pause WiFi to (insert name of device) for 1 hour". Also, the router is just a router, but the point has a Google speaker built in. If you don't want it listening, just turn off the microphone via the switch on the back side of it. You can adjust volume by tapping the top of it, just like their other speakers, and it has a light ring along the bottom so you know when it's doing something. We have 100/100 internet through Fios and the slowest I've logged in a speed test anywhere in the house, garage and the deck outside is 97Mbps, so this thing is working perfectly. I probably could've gotten away with just the router, but it is nice to have the extra point to take some of the traffic on the top floor of the house. It would be nice if the point had an Ethernet out port, but it seems like there are fewer and fewer devices that even have an Ethernet port anymore. There are 3 laptops in this house and not one of them has an Ethernet port. The Router itself has one Ethernet out port, but that's all. For me, it's not a huge issue but if it is for you, make sure the router is close to where you'll need Ethernet and you can find a pretty inexpensive hub to plug in to the Router's 1 out port and then you can plug in multiple Ethernet cables. Not ideal for some people but doesn't impact my setup. Still wanted people to be aware of it though. The other thing I wish this system had was a dedicated backhaul channel for network traffic. My speed test isn't showing any slowdown, and it's interesting to look at the Google WiFi app and see how it manages traffic and which devices are idle vs running. That's something my old system didn't have. So while the dedicated backhaul would be ideal, so far this system is operating better than the last one that did have that dedicated channel. I'm assuming Google has some software wizardry at work in the background that manages the flow. Some people are also upset it doesn't have WiFi 6, but that's like saying you were angry if a TV didn't have 1080p capability in 2006 when everything was being broadcast in 480i or 720p. WiFi 6 is the future, but it's years away from being mainstream. Very few people have a house full of devices running WiFi 6, if they have any at all. Yes it would future proof this system a little better, but for most people, it won't be an issue for a long time. This system so far has been everything my last system wasn't. It's fast, great coverage even through walls and floors, super easy setup, and if you're invested in the Google/Nest ecosystem, it's hands down the best system for you. if you absolutely have to have WiFi 6, this isn't for you. But for the everyday person who is just looking to get better coverage in their home in a simple system that looks good out in the open, I highly recommend the Nest WiFi.
