I have been using it for 5 months now. An inexpensive solution off the shelves of Best Buy. I recommend the NetGear modem and the support staff.

I had so much difficulty and was the coaxial cable bill was included and it is in fact not. Aside from that it works but intermittently fluctuates and doesn’t work

I love the product and it works great.

Could not connect

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to return this, even though it says it's compatible with Xfinity I had issues connecting to any of my devices I called Netgear on the phone troubleshooting for about 2 hours then back and forth with Xfinity. Had to wait a week for a tech to come out from Xfinity. Just to have their modem installed. Maybe it was just this one modem that was faulty I didn't exchange it for another so I can't say that. This is why I gave a one star.

Good Purchase

After a bit of set-up dealing with MediaCom and finding a computer that had a proper plug in, this thing works great and it has been blasting good solid wifi speeds around our home.

Does not work reliably with fastest Xfinity

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This router was supposed to work with my 1GB super fast Xfinity internet, and it technically did, but the service kept cutting out and wouldn't come back immediately with a reset. I contacted Netgear first, and they explained that my modem signals were outside of the ranges that they're supposed to be. I had a Comcast technician come out and he said the signal ranges were all based on "textbook conditions" and that it was a bunch of baloney, the signal I was getting was actually great, and adding a splitter to put the signal within range would probably not fix the issue. Then he told me that this router/modem just wasn't meant for the speeds my internet was putting out, and recommended that I buy another one that had the newest DOCSIS 3.1. Ended up buying a really expensive one and it's working more consistently so far, but we'll see. It still is patchy sometimes. I'm not super thrilled with the whole experience since it has been ridiculously time consuming.

Every single of them somehow had a connectivity problem. I finally got this one just an act of frustration and then, Voilà !!

It’s great, but it was more than I would ever need.
