Died after 7 months. 2 units caused many headaches

Took hours and many calls/different people at xfinity to get it connected and added to my account.
But once it was added the Modem worked great, 7 months later though it stopped working and now all it does is strobe all its lights from the moment it’s plugged in. Techs that came out said it was fried and for us to get a replacement.
We bought another and xfinity had issues adding it to our account because the serial wasn’t in their database. So to xfinity it’s like it didn’t even exist.
So instead of trying another one we switched to the other brand.

I was glad to see a product in store that I could use for my needs. However, it required more effort than I wanted to exert to make it work. My provider needed information about it to connect it. Worse, the warranty doesn't last very long - 1 year. With technology changing as much as it does, it wasn't worth the expense. I returned it

Great quality and speed, but built in WiFi would have made it higher than 4 star. There are options for WiFi, but it makes a fairly significant expense, much more expensive. Unless you are strictly doing local attach, be prepared to buy a WiFi soultion.

This modem was exactly what we were looking for to increase our WiFi speed. We also needed a modem that we could connect a landline phone to and this was one of the few that could do this.

outstanding hardware, but Xfinity folks will need support to activate for actual internet connection, even after your router updates are already activated.

I had some problems early on with connectivity. I could not determine if it was with the ISP or the Modem.
I received good support from Netgear product support and the problem has been resolved.
I'd buy it again.

my old modem is R.I.P. and 21 months old. I purchased new and replaced on few days ago. This is same typed before and different model number. Size is smaller. I purchased Geek Squad plan for this.

It's decent for the price point. I was expecting a little more with the range. Also, the tech support from Netgear is horrible.
