Replaced a Nighthawk AC1900 router and NETGEAR - 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem with the AX2700 Router/Modem because I was getting less than 100MB speed with a 300MB plan with wireless losing connectivity on a regular basis.
Upon easy self installation speed increased to nearly 400MB on the same cable plan. Wireless range greatly improved as well. I was able to stop using wireless range extender.

I have Xfinity and I kept getting messages that my router needed to be updated. I game a lot of apex , iam a hard stuck diamond and my internet lag kept me stuck there… well now with this beast iam still a hard stuck diamond but with better internet speeds

I bought this for my son, who was moving into his first apartment. He wanted an "all-in-one" solution for his broadband needs, and he wanted the fastest wired, and wireless speeds possible. Normally, I would recommend discreet devices to achieve those goals (cable modem, WAP, Router), but the specs on this unit looked like exactly what he needed for his relatively small space. According to him, it meets all expectations for speed, wired, or wireless. He streams a lot of video content at high resolution, and games pretty consistently. So far, everything is smooth as can be.

After consulting with a friend who's a tech geek & also the Geek Squad (because my level of tech is cassettes, VCR tapes & watching TV on an analog) I made the sound decision to purchase this modem/router combo. Being less bulky & taking up less space was exactly what I needed. It is perfect for what I needed to replace my old separate router & modem that were taking up way more space than I wanted. So glad everyone that assisted me with this decision helped me make the right choice.

Installs quickly with Comcast service. 5 Ghz connection is true to purchased internet speed, 2.5 Ghz connection is 1/4 speed slower. Router covers my 1000 sq ft apartment and then some.

I upgraded to this after trying the arris g36. I was worried at first as it kept dropping speeds with me resetting. After contacting netgear they updated the firmware. All is well now. Also, avoid the armor protection. It automatically activated and messes things up. Im sure uts a good protection but if you have in place already not needed. On another note, netgear has excellent customer support.

The AX2700 replaced a 7 yr old router and its a noticeable overall improvement in speed, reach and network security. Install was simple, first activate the router with (Xfinity app) and then follow Netgear app prompts. No tech calls, came up and working.

I purchased this modem/router to get the most out of the speeds my internet provider was offering. It was easy to set up and now I’m getting double the download speed i was getting before upgrading. Happy with the purchase so far.

This modem/router seems to be pretty solid. Kind of pricey, but relatively easy to setup and getting gigabit speeds out of it from my Comcast connection.

Purchased a AX2700 (CAX30) because I thought my old modem\router stopped working. I found out that the cable outside my home was the issue. I decided to keep the AX2700 anyways because the boost in performance. My LAN speeds went from 550 Mbps to 800 Mbps. My WiFi went from 350 Mbps to 650 Mbps. The WiFi range was about the same as my old AC1900.
There is one negative thing about the AC2700. The unit has some sort of compatibility issue with Xfinity and can only go up to 800 Mbps even though the connection service I purchased can go up to 1,200 Mbps. The more expensive model AX6000 (CAX80) supposedly does not have this compatibility issue. I actually purchased the AX6000 but immediately returned it because the WiFi was much slower then the AX2700. The LAN connected to my gaming desktop PC was blazing fast (1,200 Mbps). However, most of my other devices are WiFi connected. I might not be getting the max speeds, but I'm happy with the AX2700 overall performance. Get the AX2700, you won't be disappointed.

So far so good! Boosted my wifi and getting a better experience than I did from the new spectrum equipment that had the separate modem and router w WiFi 6. It kept dropping and was slow. This also helped my monthly go down significantly. I got the geek squad replacement warranty after reading how these have failed on people. Very easy to setup. The instructions don’t mention there is a nighthawk app. It instead mentioned a net gear app. Instructions were easy to follow as I registered my device online and connected to the app afterwards easily. All could be done in 10 min. I called spectrum to make sure all was good as well.

The Nighthawk AX2700 has been around for awhile, but it's still one of the best cable modem / wifi router combos out there. If you don't need a mesh system - and most do not - this is a great option to buy. Highly recommend!
