I bought an almost 400 dollar router in December of 2024. It is July 2025 and it doesn't work. Took it back to BB and they said they can't do anything for me. Contact the manufacturer they said. I went to another store to buy a replacement (from a different brand). This is the third and last Netgear I'm buying. Anything good about the router does not matter.

This modem router did not work with my network, the wifi kept dropping and the wired connections did not perform as normal. I ended up reconnecting my old modem router wich performs well with both wifi and wired devices. I wanted to upgrade to DOCSIS 3.1 but I do not think spectrum and or netgear are ready.

I bought this router, so we could have a fast internet. I have a download speed up to 800 mbps from my cable provider. It never gets above 400 mbps. I've tried several times to resolve this issue with technical support without any success.

I’ve owned this router for over a year and the improvement in both range and speed has been very noticeable. Wi-Fi coverage is strong throughout my home, even in a brick house, and I stay connected well outside, including when backing out onto the street. Very reliable and well worth it.

    Love the Netgear AX2700

Before I purchased this, I have a Netgear router connected to an Arris Modem. I wanted to upgrade so I went with an Arris G36 modem but that was so confusing and I spent about 6 hours between Saturday and Sunday talking to Xfinity trying to get it connected. I tried pinging it but could not connect. So, I went to Best Buy who graciously accepted the return, and I bought a Netgear AX2700 router modem and let me say I love it. I did not even have to call or talk to Xfinity. I followed a few easily described steps in their setup manual and I had it connected with Xfinity within 5 Minutes or less. The Nighthawk ax2700 connected so easy and the speed within the TVs and computers run flawlessly without any delays. Netgear makes a nice router that's affordable and secure and easy to connect. And there help line is open 24hours which is so nice. Thank you

    NETGEAR Nighthawk AX2700

Overall, the NETGEAR Nighthawk AX2700 has served its purpose of being a reliable modem and router. I have experienced great internet speeds with one of the simplest set ups. It has been very user-friendly that I was able to install in as little as 20 minutes, without individual assistance from Tech Services from my internet provider. I have all the necessary information and settings available at my fingertips with the NETGEAR mobile app. This had been a wonderful experience. In summary, 10/10 would recommend!

Solid Upgrade – Fast Speeds and Great Coverage!

I’ve been using the Nighthawk AX2700 for about three months now, and overall, I’m really pleased with the performance. I picked this up to replace both my old modem and router, and I’ve noticed a big difference in speed and stability. Setup was surprisingly easy — I used the Nighthawk app, and within about 15–20 minutes, everything was up and running. I use Xfinity as my ISP, and there was a minor hiccup during activation, but a quick call to customer support resolved it. Performance-wise, it’s excellent. I have a two-bedroom apartment, and the WiFi signal is strong in every room — even the bathroom, which was a dead zone with my last setup. Streaming 4K content on multiple devices has been smooth, and my partner games online without lag. Upload and download speeds have been consistent, and I’m finally getting what I pay for from my internet provider. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I’ve noticed the signal drops maybe once every two weeks for a minute or two, then comes back. It's not a dealbreaker, but it’s worth noting. Also, heads up: it doesn’t support phone services, so if you use bundled internet/phone, this might not be for you. Bottom line: If you’re looking to boost your home internet with faster speeds and fewer devices, this modem/router combo is a great buy. Just make sure your ISP is compatible, and you should be good to go!

Easy and Fast setup. Tests at or near my max internet speed every time. Also nice only needing the one device instead of a separate Modem and Router.

Wow I am impressed. I have Xfinity network and setup was really easy with this device. I did everything from the NightHawk app, and anyone who has purchased a Netgear device knows how awful netgear genie is. The NightHawk app is more modern and streamlined with configuration being done for you but you can still name your network and give it a password. After this I logged into the router VIA web browser, and I am impressed. They have more configurations you can setup plus the interface is no longer an eye sore lol and this was really my wow moment, but you can actually manage IPv6!!!!! With this router Netgear finally lets you set your own IPv6 dns settings. For you parents out there you can actually Block sites, and services. If you don't want your kid going to a specific site or using a service you can actually tell the AX2700 to block requests from that site. You can also setup email notifications to alert you about this. One more thing I noticed about this router is that you can install firmware updates from the app or web interface. Which is insane considering you always have to wait for Xfinity to push the firmware update to you. I am actually just really surprised at how many options you have compared to previous Netgear modem/routers. I didn't look at tech website reviews before buying this, I just saw wi-fi 6 and a voice said "future proof" so I bought it. I had no ideal what I was getting into. I have wi-fi 6 in my desktop and laptop and connectivity has been amazing! Even on older devices connectivity has been superb.

This router/ modem combo is a great entry wi-fi 6 device that serms to work flawlessly, has great security, speed, connectivity and range is great. The only catch is the price, but you still have to consider its still a good deal for two in one.
