    I bought this model to replace the higher end Nighthawk X4S C7800. I had three different X4S fail over a 4 year period. Something is not right with those modems, even the basic comcast provided crap modems get better lifespans. I wasn't ready to ditch the Nighthawk line though, as when it worked it worked very well. I downgraded to this model and now a little over a month into it it has worked flawlessly. It's lifespan remains to be seen, however I am more hopeful that I can get more than 14-15 months.
