  • Not quite what I expected

    I thought I had overbought when I decided to purchase this modem/router combo. Unfortunately I had nothing but problems with it and it required several calls to Netgear’s. Support team. I had constant issues with being disconnected from the internet, speeds varied from more than 300 MBPS to next to nothing within seconds. It was ultimately determined that the firmware had to be upgraded after they admitted that there were issues with the factory installed firmware. Even after the upgrade I had remaining issues with very slow speeds. I reset the unit to factory settings and all finally seems to be good now.

    The Nighthawk turned out to be the wrong modem, as it does not have phone connections, and my home phone line is from cable.

    Although it says it is compatable with Comcast there definitely seems to be some lag times. We have the fast speed internet and the router lags. Disappointing for the price.

    Consistently great internet signal. Work from home - no problem. Gaming, streaming tv, hand-helds and tablets - no problem. It often sees all of the above connected at the same time. Pretty impressive. Worth every penny.

    Lightning fried our last modem so just got this as a replacement. Dual band is great for bigger coverage. Setup just gets more complicated with every company wanting you to install their apps. Price is much higher than the last model we bought so hopefully it works better. But doubtful

    Have not had it a month yet. It seems to be working great Had trouble setting it up. Not sure if it was the router or me but with help from the help line and 3 calls it's working great.
