Word from the wise. Modems and routers need to be seperat objects and accessible with ethernet cord only, and firewall, to protect network and avoid spamware, malware, spam filters, cyber attacks anyone that’s vulnerable to identity theft or malware- should have separate modem and router to prevent network piggybacking! I was absolutely flabbergasted with how quickly this modem/router became hacked, and all of my data transferred to an online network cloud, set up by someone other than me without my permission! everything in my families information was being viewed remotely by unknown source! Next my Internet was canceled without my permission with the bill fully paid!

Constant connectivity issues, average speed. No value for the money.

Why do I have to reset this thing everyday? My speeds go down to 10 mbs. I reset it and it goes back up to 500 mbs for a few hours then drops back down to low speed.

I bought the Modem/Router in September of last year and it literally died already. No lights on the modem. I spoke with ISP and Netgear support and both say the modem is gone. Was very satisfied with the router until it gave out on me. Not even a year later. Luckily enough I got the warranty. I would only recommend if you get warranty.

For the short period I had this I thought the performance was really good. Unfortunately, it lasted only 14 months before dying. For $250 this should have lasted much longer. I won’t be replacing with another netgear product.

worked great for a few days....great signal coming into the Router (866 mgbs) but the signal to my computer stopped working can't even get internet on phone, neither could xfinity repairman...tried talking with netgear what a joke, tech doesn't speak or understand english..

Had this device for one week and it already failed. Worked great at first but suddenly showed that I was connected to the internet via cable but would not allow any internet access. Spent 2 hours on the phone with xfinity troubleshooting and trying everything possible but would not work. The second I attached my old netgear modem/router, internet was restored immediately. Put this device back online and no internet access even after full reset. Quality is concerning for something this expensive to fail so fast.

Wow, what can i say this one looked almost just like another i had just returned because it was obsolete. Sure enough this one was too. Even though the dick in the store said otherwise. Said xfinity on the box, however it was not one they accepted.

Very bad Router modem, highly priced. Too problematic router connection. Every now then then internet is disconnected. paid customer support and they are very slow

Consistently drops wireless devices and blocks them from re-pairing even though no blocking settings enabled, randomly loses network connectivity even over ethernet and honestly the worst Netgear product I've ever bought - before even going into the whole "you should manage the router through the app" that hardly ever works. Allegedly they pushed out some bad firmware with this model - but I'm not convinced they didn't just release a piece of garbage. If you've made the mistake of buying this product absolutely do NOT get rid of your previous device because this one should be returned immediately.

Terrible customer service then after multiple attempts to get things working with netgear they told me to return the item which I did. Then when I returned it to best buy they informed me I wasn’t a member which I had never heard of. They are not Sam’s or Cosco so they would not return it because it was 3 days past the apparent 15 day policy which is stupid. So they charged me for a membership which was 50 to return a partial amount back to me. I will never shop at Best Buy again.

Speed test did “ok” was only getting 300mps on devices where I should be getting 1000. Didn’t work for me because of my house layout all of my rooms on one corner of the house. This modem said it could do up to my square footage but unfortunately it didn’t work for us. Rooms that were about only 200 feet away we’re only getting one bar.

I keep having to reset this thing to get a good connection. I have good cable speed but I cant get it if I don't reset or restart it. I would not recommend buying this one.
