It's been pretty sketchy from the start. Sure, it's faster with 5G, but it drops devices from the network several times a day which means any online games or traffic heavy programs will randomly stop.

The Ethernet speed was amazing, Set up was easy - DOWNSIDE - WiFi just couldn't get it to work. Updated the password sometimes devices would connect, other times' password invalid even though staring at the passwords. Had to return.

Works great except that the WPS button is defective and not working. I spent too much time setting it up that I'm not going to swap it out for a new one. Sucks that I paid so much money for a defective modem/router

purchased this when my old nighthawk router gave out, immediately had issues with rampant disconnects, then I tried to use the app to turn off Wi-Fi to individual devices it wouldn't turn the Wi-Fi to those devices back on even though it said it did, until I unplugged it and plugged it back in. i tried to reboot via the app and that did nothing. other than that it has to be reset nearly daily otherwise all of my devices stay connected but show "no internet" this is a very disappointing and expensive waste of money. luckily I think I am still within my return window because id use a $50 modem router combo well before i use this trash.

    Do Not Buy

I bought this modem/router because Comcast told me my old one was outdated. Once I hooked it up I was still only getting like 70-80 mbps but was paying for 800. After having 3 different technicians out to find out why I was having issues they hooked up their modem and I was getting what I was finally paying for. I called Best Buy to see if I could exchange it for another one since it wasn’t working properly, they said no because it was outside the return/exchange date which was only 1 month from when I purchased it. So now I have a $300 modem that doesn’t do anything for me!! Never again will I buy from Best Buy!!

It was just working fine until today. It’s less than 90 days old we found that it was showing only four lights glowing 1234 after we moved to new address and the modem does not come online at all. Netgear community says that we may have return this product to … tried various troubleshooting instructions from near community…. power reset, 30 minutes power cycle, 30, 30,30 reset process nothing worked out. Very disappointed. Now I have to deal with the return policies. Extremely frustrated.

Constantly losing devices and dropping signal. Restarting modem helps sometimes but overall a terrible device. Trying to return it as no one should have to deal with this for the the price it is.

Don't buy this router!!! As I had two homes for a period of time, I bought this one for the new home. The Wi-fi is atrocious and is constantly in a state of being jammed or spinning. The 5G signal is constantly being dropped. Netgear customer service can't resolve it after many called as a few discussions with my service provider per their recommendation. The internet forums are riddled with customer problem complaints. I switched over to using the Ring Security Wifi signal and all problems went away!

This worked for about 15 minutes and just stopped. It is possible, in all fairness, it was a Comcast problem. I did let Comcast know I was using this rather than a Comcast modem and did set it up thru Comcast. But as I said it stopped working after a short while. It also took about 30 minutes each time to finish rebooting.

I switched from a Netgear to an Arris which had so many issues with linking devices to the WiFi and stability. Since switching, the device has yet to drop the signal or timeout. Netgear has always been reliable for me. Never considering switching again.

Garbage. I don’t know if it’s the device alone or the device paired with Xfinity, but it only works like it’s supposed to 25% of the time. The remainder is either slow, buffering, or totally out like right now. Support won’t help unless you subscribe, which we reluctantly did. Still doesn’t work. I’m so fed up what a waste of money.

Only lasted 366 days ...... how is it one day past the 1 year warrenty it stops worlong all of a sudden !??? I had it on a surge protected power strip its whole life. How is it thats its the only device in the power strip that doesnt work. Ive had wifi problems with it before but all the customer service told me was to troubleshoot and reset. I think i will go to a different brand. 400 dollars down the drain. For things like these its good to get an extended warrenty cause they cheap out on routers/modems these days. I do not recommend netgear anymore in this day and age.

There apparently is a glitch. Couldn't even get it to work with the Nighthawk app. Xfinity had a warning on their app that suggested fixes. None of them worked. Returning this one and getting something else. Have used Netgear Modem/Routers for years. Unfortunately this one was a disappointment.

This wasn’t available for a in store purchase so I paid for it and had it shipped to my house. Not sure if the sales associate or the warehouse messed up but it was the wrong one. I wanted wireless 3.0. This needed a additional wifi router.
