    This got great reviews but unfortunately we bought the wrong item, the salesperson was helpful but we must’ve missed telling him that we still have a landline and this will not work.

    Purchased item In May and has already broken down in November. 6 months, not worth the Price!

    Worked for a Week, Then Died

    Worked for a week, then started dropping connection every half-hour to an hour. Drops caused by T3 and T4 errors. Netgear blames Xfinity, Xfinity says everything is fine on their end. I have a different modem that doesn't drop, so troubleshooting says Xfinity wins and I never buy another Netgear product again.

    Learn from our mistake

    We purchased this just over a year ago and thought we were getting the top of the line modem/router combo. We have had all sorts of connectivity issues and we are finally done with the frustration and will be purchasing a unit from another brand. The most infuriating part is that if you want ANY sort of product support after the first 90 days, you have to purchase a service plan at half the cost of the unit for 6 months of service. We got duped. Learn from us and save yourself the headache.

    Terrible Product Line

    It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review, but this product line is absolute junk. I purchased a CAX30 and CAX80 and both were very glitchy (Interface and Functionality). My ARRIS offers more functionality and that was a $200 modem. Also, to my shame I didn't read all the horrible reviews left by others. Save yourself the headache and purchase another brand.

    Saving Money, Gaining Features

    Not only am I saving money by not renting my router, but I'm able to do so much more on my Nighthawk. Would recommend to anyone looking to improve network security or looking to save money on rental fees from IP.

    Do a search before you buy. Theres several odd issues where your 5g wont work and your lan line doesnt either.. hope this saves someone. And when i called tech support you can bet, they didnt say anything about the known bugs. Which apparently cant be fixed at this time. So im stuck with a $400 paper weight about once a month until it decides to work again. Netgear should recall.

    Had problems since day one keeps losing connection have to reset it quite often missed my change to return it now I'm stuck with a almost $400 piece of crap

    Beware of buying this product, pls refer forums

    Unfortunately I do not have a 0 star option. I had purchased this on March 2022 and before December there were connection issues, and while contacting Netgear support I did not feel that they really want to help their customers, rather they simply do back and forth not to issue a RMA though there is 1 year warranty. Xfinity technician had diagnosed that the fault is at the modem router and I had to go back to a replacement router.

    Worked great for the first 2 weeks, then it would get slow download speeds. Reset router, called my Internet provider, they said it was running at 1GB. Called netgear, they wanted 50 bucks to troubleshoot with me. I paid, they couldn’t even get it to work properly. Wouldn’t recommend this product, using it on my PS5 (wired) I was getting 46 mbps, what a joke!

    Worked well for about a year and a half. Now it frequently loses internet connection. Spent over $300 and doesn't last 2 yrs? I regret my purchase.

    Modem/Router does not perform. Updated Xfinity internet speed and Xfinity said I needed a faster modem/router to match. I unfortunately chose this one. Inconsistent and unreliable signal. Couldn’t maintain streaming on one smart TV on the 5 GHZ frequency, let alone when trying to stream multiple devices. Tried to return on Best Buy’s website but didn’t the return period was only 15 days.

    Quit working the next day. Spent over 6 hours with Netgear Techs and they couldn't fix it . Returned to Store

    If you have rcn/astound as your service provider,stay away from this crap..i have gig net and the first day i had it set up it was averaging arnd 945 mps and 2nd day it dropped to 200 mps..so much for upgrade! I checked everything,firmware etc. to no avail..will be returning it today

    I spent a lot of money on this Netgear and I have to say it was 100% horrible device it kept dropping connections within a day will drop 10 times within the day so I end up buying the arris router and so far it’s working great so please do not buy this router it’s not worth the money and I lost $300 buying this product so and I took it outside and I broke it into thousands of pieces or let’s just say 300 pieces that’s how much this product sucks I will never buy a Netgear ever again Arris for life

    CAX30S review. Great modem/router had a single issue connecting an older laptop and staying connected. Support quickly helped me solve the problem on the second call

    If you use Xfinity internet, don't get Netgear. I had an internet issue and I had to talk to Netgear support they said it was Xfinity's problem, and Xfinity said it was an issue with the modem router combo. So, you are in the middle because all u will get is they tell you to call one another.
