    Broke down before its warranty expired and Netgear refused to replace it or refund me. Biggest waste of money ever.

    The router would not connect to Frontier. I spent over an hour with Frontier support trying to get this router working. Failed every time.

    The warranty is 1 year. After one year and a half it broke .. Bye bye $300!

    it would only run at upload speeds of 25 megabits at best

    It won't work properly after a firmware update. It takes them forever to get us another update.

    3rd (and last) NetGear product

    I tend to upgrade our router when Xfinity supports fast speeds on updated standard. We had been using a NetGear product that supported DOCSIS 3.0, but we needed 3.1 to get the faster speeds. Maybe there are a percentage of these that just don't work. I don't know, but if you search for the problem I had, you'll find other customers with routers that stop issuing IP addresses. I would have probably just let NetGear ship me a new one, but their support people made claims like I couldn't use the same network name as my previous device and that the problem was Xfinity... even though it worked until I changed the network names and passwords. I will never buy another NetGear product as a result of this experience.
