Its works really well and fast with my provider (spectrum)however it lacks in reach and penetrantrability.I had to call my isp to register my modem with them in order for it to work right.and this took another 6 hr because when I called its was late at night when I got chance to set it up

The setup for my cable modem router was super Quick, i was amazed at how it walked me through the setup. And the wifi range easily covered the entire building and outside. 100% recommend

This router performed great while it lasted. Spontaneously bricked itself after 18 months. For this kind of premium price I expect more than this. The netgear support forum is full of posts with people experiencing spontaneous bricking within 0-2 years of purchase and support has acknowledged that there is an issue but they are still selling this defective product anyway. Avoid this and save yourself some money.

I get over a gigabit download now wired speed but my wifi speeds even within 5 feet of the router I cant get over 150 mbps where my xfinity gateway got 500-600

set up process was super easy with the nighthawk phone app, and also the security software on the router was surprisingly good. I discovered that my firestick was sending unauthorized data! will only ever be buying netgear hardware for networking now. quality is next level compared to the rest

Recommended by Xfinity for faster downspeeds. Wouldn't install without GeekSquad installer techie phone contact with Netgear techie. Resultant download speeds are considerably SLOWER than on my previous modem/router. Buyer beware! A pricey, sketchy device in my experience.

Great product. Easy setup once you ensure cable modem is already activated with provider. I do wish I would have only went with a cable modem only and upgraded to WiFi6 later since already have a set of Orbi wireless network units.

I was having problems with xfinity service and the company sent out several techs but continued to have up and down connection speeds. Installed my new CAX80 and bam…. problem solved. Just needed the “right equipment”

Upgraded my router in order to extend my range. It’s now cover my whole entire house. I now have a more consistent internet connection and the nighthawk app is a great addition as it lets you control your router.

5 GHz performance is marginal.

I have had for three weeks. The 5 GHz keeps losing its connection to the internet. 2.4 GHz has not had an issue. The range on the 5GHz seems to be less than my Night hawk. I will change the review if things improve.

2.4G Issue experienced on three seperate devices.

I bought three of these after experiencing the same issue. The 2.4G network will stopmworking for 1-3 minutes randomly. For many this may not be an issue but I have several devices that only use the 2.4G network to work constantly. An example of this are cameras you may have in your house. For the price I do not recommend. I will say my speed drastically improved when it was working.
