Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Orbi 650 Series AX3000 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System's ease of use, extensive coverage, and generally simple setup process as significant advantages. Many appreciate the improved range and signal strength, resulting in better performance, particularly in larger homes or areas with connectivity challenges. However, some users experienced connection issues and occasional firmware problems. While the system is praised for its performance and security features, the price point is a factor for some customers.

    Mesh wifi impresses

I had an old wifi 5 modem/router system that worked fine for my 1 bedroom apartment. We recently moved to a 3 floor, 3 bedroom home and needed to update our router. I tried using a wifi extender for awhile but it wasn’t the answer. Bought this Mesh Wifi 6 system and have no regrets. Set up was easy and performance is steady. I have 1 gigabyte internet. I have about 25 connected wifi devices and when i test the speed on my phones/ipads they each pick up 200mbps download speeds and 30mbps upload speeds or more throughout the entire home. I have a few devices plugged directly into the router and they have about 700mbps download speeds. The Orbi app is simple and effective. Would recommend this to anyone.

Purchased an Orbi Mesh system from Best Buy. Got it at an outstanding price. Took about 20 minutes to set up the main router and 2 included satellites. My entire home and anywhere in the yard I can pull 330 mbps down and 12 up under 12 ping for blazing fast streaming. We also have a smart home with numerous cameras, security system, door and window sensors, smart speakers, and switches and bulbs. Every single thing in my house now works flawlessly. The controls in the Orbi app are super easy to use and helps me keep tabs on our network. Thanks Best Buy and Orbi for the awesome new network!

Replaced my Amazon house branded mesh system with the Orbi after inconsistent speed and coverage and this system rocks! Wifi is almost as fast and strong as a wired connection pretty much anywhere in the house. Super easy to setup with phone app and also has a web based interface for more detailed fine-tuning. These are expensive but well worth the price.

Upgraded from an older N revsion orbi system that was about 6 years old. Needed some more thoroughput for all the streaming devices and smart house features not to mention upgraded line speed. This one was even easier to set up than the original which was very simple. Pulling almost the full 200mbps on speed tests and easily covering 1800 sq ft with only one satellite unit. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for stupid easy setup and range.

Purchased NetGear Orbi Tri-Band Mesh Wifi 6 System for my home. Substantial increase in speed and coverage. Easy to install and customer service is excellent. Previously system did not have the coverage and was challenging to connect home devices. Had issues with latency when streaming video. Not no more with Orbi the issues have been resolved and coverage has exceeded my expectations. Purchase through Best Buy. The entire experience exceeded all expectations.

It's early yet but good so far!

It's very early yet since I just purchased this today, but so far am pleased. The setup was fairly simple. Being familiar with the setup of such devices, I didn't download the app but instead used the web based setup (192.168.1.1), and was happy to find settings familiar to me from other Netgear routers I've used. Then I connected it to my cable modem, and at first it didn't want to pass info to/from the internet, but a reboot of the cable modem resolved the issue. Next I turned on the two satellites. This took a bit longer that I expected, but they connected and began doing their job with no other tinkering required. I next performed a firmware update ... that went fine and updated all 3 components at once. And lastly I renamed the SSID and Network Key to match that of my previous modem, and all of my devices came back online flawlessly. Now I'm experimenting with placement of the satellites to sort out where they will provide the best signal. I also ran a number of speedtests during the setup, and Im getting as good or better performance as with my previous router. One thing I've noticed is that walls and twists and turns in the hallways take a big toll on performance ... moreso than with my previous Netgear Nighthawk ... so satellite placement will be super important. I may even add a 3rd satellite to ensure I get coverage to some outdoor locations that may need better coverage, but that's TBD at the moment. But, so far, no complaints!

I have been dealing with Linksys 5500 series mesh routers for the past 2 years and I was already frustrated. I picked these up while i was getting another order fulfilled and do not regret the decision. The only thing I would want more out of this system is additional cable slots (each unit has 2 on them). Set up look less than an hour (FOR ALL OF THE NODES!!!!) and the app is WAY better than anything I saw from Linksys. I don't know how their customer support is but I also hope I won't need to use it :P. This is easily my #1 recommendation at the moment and I would recommend this to my friends and family who need a no hassle way to upgrade/improve their home networks.

After reading reviews on multiple mesh WiFi systems I decided to try the Orbi. I have a workshop approx 100 feet from my house and hoped to extend WiFi from the house to the shop. I placed the router in the center of the house, one satellite in the bedroom closest to the shop, and another satellite in the shop. Setup was very simple and ithin a few minutes I had WiFi I’m the shop. I was also shocked when I looked at the network map on the Orbi app and could see the satellite in the shop was connected directly to the router. Speed tests in the shop average 75 down, 27 up, 16 ping, very similar to speeds inside the house. These speeds are similar to the hardware Ethernet speed tests. I’m very impressed with this Orbi system and would recommend if you need to create a WiFi network over a large area.

I specifically wanted a mesh system that did not require managing in the cloud. As a result, I am not using several features, but I also did not have to setup an account with netgear to setup the system. Setup was pretty easy, but I did have to go back through reset and full setup when I switched modems. Coverage is very good in my 3-story house (one station on each level) and yard. I get plenty of bandwidth (don't go with an AC technology today). If you are happy to manage everything through the cloud, there are other cheaper options at this speed, or faster at the price (deco), but this is a solid system that can be entirely managed through web interface. Also possible to add additional Orbi AX satellites, but you cannot use older AC ones.

The Orbi was super easy to set up. It only took us a few minutes. The signal travels very far, so far, that I haven’t been able to test where it ends yet because I’d have to go out onto our lake that is 300 ft from our house. We have absolutely no cell service surrounding our house so this is exactly what we were looking for. I can’t wait to get out ice fishing and see if I can send fishing pics to my family. Great system, well worth the money.

I replaced my linksys nodes with the Orbi setup awhile ago. The setup and dependability of the Orbi system is 10 times better than the linksys. My reason for updating was because the old system wouldn't stay connected more that a week at a time, over a 3 year period. I finally got fed up with the old stuff. I am now covering a larger area with 3 nodes as opposed to 6 with the linksys.

Worked right lout of the box. Extenders either connected to the router or to the nearest extender. Howerver, after 2 hours of being installed, it blocked all connections in the factory default setup. After calling tech support, it was easily resolved by unchecking the block all connections.

This Orbi AX3000 mesh router system was very simple and seamless to install. This coupled with a Netgear Nighthawk cm2000 is a strong combination. A 1 gig internet connection from Xfinity provides 982MBs download out of the satellite located upstairs on the other side of the house. This mesh router system way outperforms our old modem/router combo unit.

The easiest setup/experience I’ve ever had with a router. Can’t beat the 4 year protection replacement for only $70 extra on an expensive purchase like this. No issues with Wi-Fi either yet and has excellent coverage. I game a lot and my router is in a different room. Being able to connect my devices to one of the satellites directly makes my connection flawless as the satellites use their own dedicated bands to connect to the router. Highly recommend this product

This is my second generation of Orbi mesh. My 2108 set had just one satellite, and this added the one more I need to fill new spaces. These are elegant in appearance I think. The photos let you decide on that. The installation was smooth. My prior Orbi solved an enduring struggle we had for 6 years with AirPrint from iPhones. The problem just dissolved. So I was glad the problem stayed away also with this new one.
